So I guess that's the right task for a camera, transmitting wireless while hidden within a donut box :-)
That thing has the best chances to land on even the most secret desks !
I bet if I walk in with tray loads of Starbucks coffee from the Highland Ave location (with the obligatory cinnamon swirl and berry coffee cakes) .. someone is bound to succumb and let me by

Probably not. Now, if there was some cappuccino...

Ok, so how do we get one??!! You can't show me something like that and think I'll accept that it is unattainable by us common folk. That's just cruel. It's like.....holding a juicy red steak in front of a poor hungry dog and then keeping it two feet in front of him for all eternity while taunting, "hungry boy? Yeah you hungry? Mmmmm looks good doesn't it?" forcing the dog to incessantly move forward and forward trying to get the steak without accepting the fact that it is a lost cause and it is forever out of reach.
Ok, sorry, went off on a bit of a ...... well, insanity. Seriously, any way to purchase? I want to put it on the wall next to my Theoden sword!!
You know, even before seeing that banner, I'd been pondering on knitting one of those lovely Rohirrim tapestry-designs seen in Stangard. It shouldn't really be all that hard to make a knitting graph of 'em, what with the twocolour and relatively simple lines... wouldn't Rohan's ladies create things to warm their families with techniques akin to what we know?
That is a Way Kewl Seriously Wicked Bad Flag! AWESOME!
TY for sharing as I'm not a tweeter/facer.
Q: Did Celestrata get one too?
Oh and yeah, THAT is a bit of "fluff" that's worth serious TPs! Have them buyable with $$ and TPs -> you'll sell a bucket load in a flash. Great tie in to the game. Oh maybe put them on the Lottery?
I'm shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here! <Your winnings, sir.>
[sotto voce] Oh, thank you very much.
Soooo... It's my whiteboard, so the 2012 events is a festival list for this year (most of which is also posted in the community calendar).
The intentionally blurred stuff is....intentionally blurred, but really not all that exciting. I keep the current likes, followers, and plus 1s from Facebook, Twitter, and Google plus written on the whiteboard. Just figured those three numbers with no context would make for some exciting (and wrong) conspiracy theories. If you're that interested you can actually go look them all up by visiting our pages on those sites.
The stuff under the banner with the exciting red asterisks that you can't see... you can't see. Yet....

No way to purchase, unfortunately. But we may look into ways to give a few away.

I think they were only given to the E3 team.
As much as we'd love to sell them, I don't think we could do it at a cost people would pay. My understanding is they cost more than you might think.
As I mentioned above, we're trying to spirit some away and figure out how to give them away this summer.

Nice headset.
and is that several good sized boxes of perhaps swag next to your desk?
I would also slide into the suggestion box something about getting dual monitors... lol
yeah those boxes are all swag. My desk is kinda the swag pile. It all just...accumulates.
We all have dual monitors, you just can't see the second one in that shot.

Thank you for sharing this, Sapience It's nice that you think of us unsocial non-twitts!
Pour Sapience, you must have knowed that we would want to know everything, even things that cannot be seen on the picture But I am modest, I am just curious about the content of the unopened parcels! Doughnuts? Pipe weed? Prototypes of a physical RoR-CE?

Mice and Keyboards. The same kind that were in our booth and that we gave away at our player party during PAX East.

Ya gotta love a game where people immediately want to know what's under something written on a board
(That's serious.)
Meanwhile, I'm looking for suitable material to embroider a RL banner on.
Damn, I need another craft project like a hole in the head :P

One other thing... Now serving #3?! Did you actually catch up or did you do a file 13 and start fresh?
He posted that he spent a good chunk of time yesterday going through it and got down to 1, it was in the 60s earlier this morning. Hopefully our resident CM will be able to stay ahead of his inbox!
Is Turbine still located in Needham? I worked for an ambulance company as the game was launched that used to drop patients off right next door to you guys and I always wondered what was going on inside...I think it was Needham but I'm not sure, I know it was right on the Norwood line though.

Why is it that I come back to this thread to find that it has become a conversation about my rear? XD

See? You can't leave us alone for a minute and trouble starts! Oh by the way, Sapience left for that "meeting" in a hurry!

I believe their still in Needham or the immediate vicinity, yes. I remember something about them moving, but I've gotten thoroughly confused over the years as I believe they've switched offices once, but datacenters twice, or something like that, over the last 5 years.

Did you hear strange noises inside perhaps?
Talking about strange things going on - that reminds me of another interesting background in an interview of famous Matt Chat with Agustin Cordes about his games "Scratches" and "Asylum": There on the video (from about min 1.05 onward) you can see couple of books in the background of Matt's office, the bigger one of the not less famous old game "Myst". Made me creedy and get that book right away

Just go up to his desk and sit on the banner then ask "Does this banner make my rear look big?" while looking him in the eye. Please report back as to the results My guess is either stammering, silence or another sudden meeting.

I remember the good ole days when they were in Westwood .. even did some cold-calling into them... but no one answered their phones
now.. I think they're roughly a stone throw away from my office .. </contemplates buying a tray of cappuccinos and bribing the staff>
it occured to me today that for those of you who do not follow us (or any of the community team) on twitter, you may sometimes miss out on some of the 'around the office' stuff we share for those who do.
So, we thought you'd like to see the new addition flying over my desk (ignore that pesky whiteboard, it's just loaded up with plans and schemes for the rest of the year).
