since many weeks we have a free sample from the store with the code coupons, this week the coupons are not for free but it's "buy one, get one for free".
The presentation is the same, if you don't pay enough attention (like me) you will be deceived buy the offer, instead of something for free, like usual, you will be charged
Turbine, you can change your offers, it's your decision, but don't make it look like another and usual offer, it's like you wanted to do it on purpose and win more money deceiving your customers.
I saw there wasn't a freebie this week. Only a 50% price reduction if you buy two.
However, the value of the item they are giving away is more than a hope token or a potion, like the freebies usually are.
While I agree that it was a bit of a change-up making this week buy one get one, I really don't think we can say Turbine was being unclear here. It says right over the codes that it is Buy One Get One Free, not a Free Sample.
Also, I encourage anyone using any code in the Store to double check the price shown after you apply the code to make sure it shows what you expect. For the Free Sample codes of other weeks, always make sure the total says zero before completing the purchase.
I'm not saying you are the bad guy here, just that we can't make Turbine out to be. There was no deception. I can, however, see why you'd be eager to make the purchase, if you truly believed that you could get 5x 5000 Enhanced Rep for free. Wishing like that could blind even the most observant person to the truth.
Didn't look like a deception at all to me, it's plainly and easily visible that this is not a completely free offer...
Exactly. I mean, come on. It took me all of 2 seconds to read the offer and see, very clearly, that it wasn't a standard freebie this week. No warning necessary.
We've taken all of your feedback into consideration with differentiating the offers enough so as not to confuse them with the free coupons. We hope to make it clearer in the future.

That's good to hear, kudos to your team. I didn't personally have an issue with seeing that it wasn't a freebie this week, but I did hear a few surprised people in kin chat remark on how they didn't read it close enough.
As one who usually DOES read everything clearly, I am willing to admit that I was too quick in my reactions on the offer this week and have told both account support AND Quartermasteru about my issues with the offer. The sample is, from what I remember, always a free sample (if there have been BOGO's in the past I am forgetting them). Therefore, I assumed (blah blah, never assume) that this week's was as well.
Into the store I go. I put 1 stack of 5 into my cart. I hit quick-buy, I apply the coupon, I see the message about the item being free and somehow don't recognize that I am still being charged 900 TP (and as F2P, that was 50% of my stash of TP, which hurts).
OK, lesson learned...the hard way.
I think there are problems on Turbine's end here too, though. I really don't like the fact that 2 stacks of 5 were automatically added to my cart. I also heard (from Kin) that there is no way to remove one of them and only purchase 1 stack, probably because of the coupon (?).
My main concern, and I guess they are addressing this based on Quartermasteru's message, is that nobody else get burned the same stupid way I did!
Thanks for listening and not laughing too hard at my expense.
