Legacies/Relics on Stone/Satchel and some other noobie questions

I'm playing a lvl 52 RK and since I'll start soon with the Moria-Instances/Raids, I'd like to ask about some important things.

    First off:
I guess I'm gonna be healing most of the time, so what legacies should i choose? I'm always using PtH, WoH and RW for group heals or MV for solo-heals, trying to avoid using the epic heal too much. Or do I have to use it kinda often later, f.e. in Orthanc as one of the main heals?

Shall i mix the legacies on Weapon and Satchel (heal & dps) until i get 75 and build two sets then (for heal & dps) or already focus on heal only? Though it'll be harder leveling then...

So, can someone tell me what legacies i should go for and which relics are the best? I'd love to know the best ones for a healing RK at Lvl 75.

TY and excuse my mistakes, I'm not a native speaker

at your lvl i'd say take what you can get and make the most out of it
especially if rk is your first character cos you probably dont have that many marks/meds for scrolls and the like to upgrade your LIs

for the legacies have a look at my legendaries
since the update to efta i use it regularly while healing as it get someone to full health pretty quickly

this is what i use for healing right now:

(just ignore the wrath of flame dmg legacie on the healing stone since there are only 4 healing legacies for our stone i just left it on there)

and yes, i am aware that these are not the perfect legendaries but they work pretty damn good for me

Second-question-first: You're healing correctly. The Epic heal is situational, so you should only be using it in specific situations. PtH, WoH, and RW are the main-stay healing skills that we use when things are under control and there are no emergencies.

    First-question-second:
Legacies are pretty easy for RK's, especially healing legacies.

    Stone:
    Healing Attuned Skill Power Cost
    Healing
    Healing Over Time
    Glorious Foreshadowing Duration
    Steady Attuned Skill Power Cost
    Will

    Satchel:
    Writ of Health Healing
    Pulses Prelude to Hope
Do Not Fall This Day Cooldown
    Word of Exaltation Cooldown
    Mending Verse Healing
    Epic for the Ages Healing

It's literally that easy. There are exactly 6 healing-oriented legacies for the satchel, and there are 4 for the stone. So slot them all. The steady-attuned skill power cost and the Will legacies on the stone are arbitrary, but you'll get 6 legacies to choose from, so might as well fill them with something semi-useful.

If you level fast, then I wouldn't bother with 2 separate sets until you hit the level cap. If you level slowly, differentiation would be good because it will allow you to be better at each role separately. Regardless, I wouldn't bother with 2 separate sets with 3rd-age weapons. Second-age items are more powerful; you'll keep them longer, and they're not too hard to get.

It's hard to say with relics. I usually use relics to fill what I perceive to be weaknesses in my character AFTER I get my armor, jewelry, virtues, and legacies all situated. Relics have a habit of combining strange things together (like crit and block rating..??), so I don't think there are any stand-out, must-have relics. Others will probably disagree, and may have better advice. I tried to stick to Will/Tactical Mastery relics when I could, but sometimes the best option is Mitigation or Vitality-related relics.

Your post is better than some English-native posts I've seen today.

Those are actually pretty nice. I never have been one for item-swapping, so I'd decon the swap item, take the DNFTD cooldown legacy and pop it on your satchel in place of the Will legacy. Then I'd replace the WoF DoT damage legacy on your stone, replace it with Steady-Attuned Power Cost.

The Self-Mot cooldown legacy I wouldn't use, mostly just because I don't use enough power when healing to need Self-Motivation. Between the normal Self-Mot and power pots, the legacy isn't worth the slot (or the extra item). The extra Will would be nice, but not really a requirement. The only real drawback to my method is that you can't spend nearly as many points as you'd like on DNFTD cooldown. It's not usually a major problem though. Short fights, I never need more than 1 DNFTD, and on long fights, an extra minute doesn't make much difference.

Thank you very much for the answers, they help me a lot!
I didn't expect it to be that simple

but wouldn't the true setting of the ages be a good alternative?
    it has:
    +260 crit rating
    +520 TM rating
    +520 useless PM rating
    +126 ICPR

The rk isn't my first toon, I already have a Lvl 75 toon with the full orthanc-set and a lot of meds/seals in my wallet.
Therefore i level pretty fast (started the rk some weeks ago), so i guess i won't make 2 sets.

Regarding armor and jewellry: I already have more than enough meds for the galtrev-set and will go for the whole lg-dailies-stuff (both will-sets), shouldn't take too long and i'll be able to run toO with my kin and get the ortanc-set then. so i don't really worry about the armor.

Now I'll just have to decide which dps-skills to go for - fire or lighning. Playing solo I use lighning a lot, but fire makes more damage and could be a greater help in our kin-raids.

in a raid i would recommend fire since you will do about 2-3times the dmg compared to lightning due to aoe and loremaster fire debuff (depending on your gear and skill level)
in orthanc trash i usually have around 2-2.4k dps (can spike up to 4k) fire traited compared to 1-1.3k lightning traited

the only thing you have to watch out for while fire dps'ing is not to break stuns/mezzes/roots etc
if you dont want to have that problem, stick with lightning

I use slightly different stuff than has been suggested and have been really happy with my choices:

    Stone:
    Healing
    Healing Power
    Healing over Time
    Glorious Foreshadowing
    Will
    Vitality

    Bag:
    WoH Healing
    EftA Healing
    MV Healing
    WoE CD
    Self Motivation CD
    Vitality

Prelude pulses is just kinda lame IMO. In my parses Prelude does a tiny % of my total healing so extra pulses isn't worth it and can actually be sorta annoying because sometimes you want to start a fight with no HoTs up for aggro reasons. DNF CD is on a swap item.

For relics, I use the Morale/Mastery settings, 1 vit/crit gem and 1 crit def/morale/power gem, the morale/power/icpr/icmr runes and crafted relics.

Just got my heal build to the point where I'm at 10k buffed morale/9k-ish power, capped tac mit and capped outgoing healing, so I'm happy.

Here is a pic of my LI setup for healing:

Stone: There are only 4 healing legacies, so I opted for winter legacies when I realized I had a bunch of points left. They give me a good bump to my healing attune "dps." (read, debuffing.) I also heal in the moors sometimes, and I find the winter legacies make a nice impact out there, as well. Some people may like stat legacies there. I used the steady attuned legacy on my last stone, didn't notice much of a difference. Plenty of options for the last two spots.

Satchel: There are 4 important healing legacies for satchels. In descending order: Word of Ex CD > Writ of Health = MV > Epic for the Ages. Especially when traited, Word of Ex is one of our most valuable tools, and the legacy cuts the cooldown by 33%. Epic for the Ages is quite effective now, and the trait sends an extra heal to your whole fellowship based on the tier of WoH on the target. I took stat legacies for the last two as I was almost out of points.

Swap Satchel: I tried, I couldn't max a healing bag with the cooldown legacies, as there are not enough points to max everything out.

For levelling, don't worry about healing gear. Just get a decent storm/fire setup, maybe put Writ of Health on the bag, as you can cast all writs regardless of attunement now. Worry about heal gear at 75.
