how to beat a nasty case of lotro whinies:

1) go to bathroom, apply cold water to towel, apply towel to face.

2) take deep breff

3) exhale

4) look at the mirror and try to recall the last time u took a shower. if its under 5 weeks, thats probably normal for you guys. anything over that and youre going to need to turn the sink on and wet your hair. anything over 7 weeks i would probably ask your neighbors to borrow their soap and shampoo. dont use conditioner, you arent used to it yet. it could be dangerous.

5) when youre done with that, turn off your monitor (turning off the comp at this early stage might do brain damage so DONT) and accept the fact that you have to wake up at 6 tomorrow to catch the bus everyday

6) have sex or &&&&&&&&&&, i think we know which one this will be

7) youve written enough lotro books in this thread alone you need a change of pace. go read a book on alexander the great or someone interesting.

8) when you think youre ready... make a few sandwiches, bring your camping supplies, ots time to go on an expedition to find your shoes. let me know if youve forgotten how to tie them, its quite easy.

hit me up when youve completed these steps. and dont get discouraged! the fastest these steps have ever been completed is 3 weeks flat! youll be lucky if you even remember how to turn the sink on :P

I think that's the point of the thread. If you are going to 1v1 shield traited or heart of fire guard or Harmony built mini. Or yes a GLORY champ. You really aren't asking yourself for much of a challenge. And as I said before anyone who is even willing to fight that... I guess you get what you asked for.

Glory champs arent as extreme. Like i said, i can still win vs sole even spear traited.

the point of the thread is your buddy QQing after being butthurt from Soleus. and no, glory champs and HoF guards aren't as OP as shield-wardens, not even close actually. It takes skill and knowledge of the class to ballance out the stats in order to DPS and still maintain survivability.

Because no champ out here is actually geared for Glory anyways. If you all actually understood the mechanics behind this game and the potential for literally an "invincible champ" you wouldn't have even said that. Maybe ill make that my next project. I dont think most people in here understand what a glory champ is when traited 5 deep.

Most of these apply to a champ with 4+ traits in the blue line.

+900 extra morale while in glory stance

Able to b/p/e while in glory

No longer have a damage reduction while in glory

Hedge on a 15 second cooldown. Lasts 20 seconds. Hedge gives a 3000 extra rating to armour, 1500 wound resist rating, +360 critical defense rating

Bracing attack - 1k heal - 20s cooldown

Increased power rgen with the second wind trait

(not many non-champ players know of this one) Exhaulted combatant - 3k heal every 1 minute 30 seconds

25% chance to gain a fervour pip on any damage taken while in glory stance

75% chance to reflect 54 points of damage on any damage taken

+800 to critical defense rating while in glory

Im sure im missing some and im sure .gif boy the servers best guard wll fill me in

On a last note - delete your champ soleus and roll a guard please.

Any champ that runs this build is playing for the easy mode and not wanting a challenge

i would have a dps set of audacity gear if i actually spent the time grinding it out, but tbh i dont want to grind out 50k more coms in this stupid game just to prove a point... as for my rune...

theres three legs which i can safely say any good champ has on their rune, only two of which are glory specific soooo yea im sooo glory geared..

Lol, by "doing what you have to do to win" I meant flayer, which is a lot different than building like a tank as a champ/shield traited warden/minstrel traited heals/guard traited tanking and doing this...

If you don't trait 5 then you trait 4 because as soon as you switched to glory your morale went from 9.1k to 9.9k, why would you need to use any cds if you have bracing attack on 20s cd and take hits like you are a guard?

I think a better question is why run glory and glory traits? Simple answer. He likes it easy mode. Fail champ will be fail.

Maybe you guys should stop trying to rag on Soleus for how he plays the game he pays for, and just play the game yourselves. Also, how can you blame the player for something Turbine has obviously made available to his class? If he wants to play full on Glory, which he does well, don't blame him, blame the devs.


Now if he were getting his stats by exploiting some bug(Like some), then you can blame the player.

welllll maybe if you actually figured out my gear build/ way i actually fight then you'd be able to understand why my way of playing has not been replicated, and probably will never be replicated. you say herp derp you trait tanking but thats only half of how i fight and if you actually took the time to think and learn about the champ class, maybe you could figure it out how i can have 17k phys mastery along with a close to 17.5% crit chance in my current build.

You're kind of late... we went through this awhile ago... Impactdriver =/= Malarick and Soleus even said himself the only 2 fights he has had since the time Impactdriver started posting was with me and Snoopey.

Gosh darn you sole for traiting and gearing your champ in a powerful way that I have not seen any other champ do (but try). For real he resubs and instantly gets a thread, that's pretty amazing to be honest.

The moors is NOT a 1v1 zone, in fact it is the opposite. Solo is twice as painful as it once was, if I'm on my reaver or guard i get all tingly if I find just one thing, but 90% of the time thats not the case. So why would sole run around in a dps glass cannon type build when having to face multiple things...idk maybe he would get lucky and one shot all of them and be considered not cheap.

As for the 1v1 aspect I have fought sole many times, lost most and won a couple and I think we can say that on freeps reaver dps is pretty garbage so with some luck (which is a huge part of what a 1v1 is when 2 people that know the game go against each other) and slowly learning what things to do and not do against him it is possible. All the times I lost if i did everything right and he did not crit a whole lot I was usually within 2k of the kill, so again a few more crits for me and a few less for him and it would have swung around.

As for a fervour champ whenever I face the good ones I'm usually just hoping they don't crit, cause if they do I am dead if they don't I win. Simple as that. Is it skill to run into a fight, close your eyes and hope for big numbers? Idk its fun but its not 'more elite' in any way I don't think.

Look tbh if every champ was running around like sole was I would maybe think its super duper unfair...but guess what most don't. The closest thing i have seen is a champ hitting sprint and a bubble and running away to npcs lol, and if they are in fervour they usually die through the bubble while running lol.

For real if you are that blind to not accept that there are 1v1s you will not win until you get super lucky or they mess up bad then you are an idiot...I'm sorry to break it to you. Lets take rk's. if they put 1 hot up they heal through my reavers dps, if hey kite I can't do anything. The list goes on with other classes and other builds

O and one last thing, there was this time called Mirkwood. I know I know most of the people in this thread have no idea what that was. But see back then champs were actually alot harder to play (along with most classes I suppose)...and omg one of the only ones that could kill my reaver on a daily basis...NO WAY NOT SOLE HE HAD NO GLORY WHAAAAT.

Ps. stop knocking sole's gifs, they are one of the few things in this game that still make me smile
