Is it me or is Nimrodel suddenly flooded with new players? I say new, because there seem to be a flood of characters in the lower level areas, sort of cresting in the mid 30's about now -- and as a rule they have "raw" gear, i.e. not the looks you'd expect from alts, but genuine local drops and quest rewards.
If so, I think that's great, buuuut ...
Does the recent Steam debut have anything to do with what seem to be serious lag issues cropping up this May/June? Coincidence?
The current lag issues have been occurring since U6 from what I can see, although I can only speak for Brandywine. I know that U6 -1 the game was fine, with no more than the occasional lag you can expect from an MMO, but when U6 hit, it was constant lag day and night.
