Wink Mines Of Moria Expansion Purchase Options.

    Greeting Everyone!
I am a casual LOTRO player but after the two years i've spent playing i'm finaly considering purchasing MoM.
What would be the more effective way to buy it?
    A) Buy 4000TP for about forty bucks at the shops and buy the MoM expansion off the turbine store.
    B) Buy the Collector's Edition of MoM from Ebay/Amazon/ect ect for Thirty or forty bucks, getting a load of things like maps and guides as well as the in game content.
Now at first glance the physical colectors edition seems the best way to go, but if I have to re-install the entire game just to unlock the content... Well it doesn't seem to be worth the effort.
Is there some way to buy the physical version and simply use a code or something to activate the content on the LOTRO store or on your turbine account?

$20 at Gamestop gets you the Mithril Edition which will give you Moria, Lorien and 2000tp to spend. Probably the best option. You will not need to reinstall, just enter the upgrade code on your account page. You can also get a digital version that I believe will email the upgrade code to you.

Also: Aulindyr, Venrilathan, Dralok, Thralok, Gralok, Tharsuus, Ieloch, Faromond and Endilhelm.

I'm pretty sure that you just need the standard moria edition to get all the in-game perks and it's activated with a code.
It gives you the moria quest pack/instances, 2 character slots and the 2 classes plus 30 days VIP.

that's it for 35 bucks... That would be your cheapest/best option. Just make sure that you check with the seller that the game code is included although since it's brand new I would assume it would be.

There is no need to reinstall. All the physical products contain a code that unlocks the contents when you enter the code on your account page.

This is because there is only one client and everyone who can play already has all the content on their computer, it just needs to be unlocked.

this. even without moria $20 is an OK price for 2000TP.

gamestop emails you a code instantly. there's no need for any downloading or installing - any LOTRO player, FTP or whatever, is already able to walk all the way through the mines, only won't be able to do the quests without the MoM expansion.

the one thing to be very careful about when you do this is to use the code with your existing turbine account and not end up creating a new one [as I inadvertently did].

Keep in mind that the Moria Quest Pack you get in bundles is not the same as the Moria Expansion you get from the standalone product.

The Moria Quest Pack in bundles gives you access to the zone and its quests, but does not include Warden, Runekeeper, Skirmish Soldier 8-15, or the 2 character slots that you'd get from the Moria Expansion. These can all be bought separately, except for the character slots which are in addition to the normal slot limit and can only be obtained from this expansion.

I got the "Complete Edition" Shadows of Angmar and the Mines of Moria expansion in a sealed box from one of Amazons secondary sellers for really short money. The stuff in the box is kinda fun to have. Still holding off on using the code. My first of 4 primary toons is just getting well into level 20 and about to head for the first LoneLands guest

I believe once you enter the Angmar code two unique capes might be added to every character's inventory, but REAL IMPORTANT!!! Enter the Angmar code FIRST, or you will be unable to enter it. Then the Moria code.

You will get a month of VIP from the Angmar code, and also a month of VIP from the Moria code.

The "Complete" edition only has one code. There is another edition that has the separate codes, maybe the "Collectors" ?

I was referring to doing the code in the Angmar edition first, THEN do the code in the Moria edition. Otherwise, you cannot enter the Angmar code.

There might be some obsolete codes involving refer a friend type stuff, those are not the codes I am referring to.

Like many others I bought mine off of an eBay(around april 2012) seller for about $20. It was shrinkwrapped and the 30 day VIP was still valid. I since have gone VIP.
