Thread: Has this happened to you?

So for the past 6 months or so I've been getting emails telling me that selling my Blizzard WoW account might result in a ban and it's against the ToS etc.
But today I got an email telling me I was in the Beta for MoP (WoW's latest expansion).
Wait what?
I thought my account was getting banned?

Of course this is all extra silly as I don't have a WoW account, have never registered at Blizzard's site and have no particular interest in WoW, or anything else Blizzard has released in the past 15 years.

Anyone want a MoP beta access? Only 2995TP. ;-)

the expansion email idk, but the hack one I'm pretty sure is a scam as I have been getting at least 3 of those a year for the past two maybe 3 years...not sure how old wow is...as I have never played it ^_^

Never played it. And yet I get the emails too.

I keep getting emails that my Runescape account is "under investigation" which is interesting because I've never played it or even had the slightest interest in it.

I keep a copy of these emails in my folder along with the one from DHS Nigeria wanting me to send some random person $68 so they can send me $800 grand. the name of this folder is "Giggles".

Huh. I've never gotten any emails like that. Or, if I do, Gmail is nabbing them before I see them.

I don't get the WoW ones, the Nigerian Prince ones, none of them.
