Thread: Server Full

So since LOTRO became free to play I now see a problem where even if you have VIP status you still cannot log in because the Server is Full? If this is the case then the servers need to be boosted methinks.

Yes the server is actually full, it is not unscheduled maintenance as some of my kinmates are still ingame playing. It is full and won't allow any more of us to log on! I have been trying to log on for 2 hours without success, while my friend managed to log in 20 minutes ago, after an hour of trying.

So linking to that highly inaccurate Turbine notice does not help as it doesn't apply. At around 7pm GMT there was a surge of players logging in which has overwhelmed server capacity. There is no more room for people to log on until some that are already there leave. My kin mates are reporting that they are even afraid to change characters incase they can get back in game again!

The game server is not full. The login server is overwhelmed. Not the same thing. It is not any form of maintenance, but appears to be a transient fault with the login system. Doesn't happen often, but equally doesn't usually last for too long. Seems to take a little while to clear things out when it does happen.

Well 2 hours 30 minutes and counting so far!

Since last July LOL....

However In regards to whether full or not. I'm more likely to bend towards it being overwhelmed. 2 previous server's I used to play on, can no longer log on them now since last July.
