Thread: Connection Failure Server Full

I am seriously peeved with this influx of new players on Withywindle server. It is getting totally ridiculous that I can't access any of my characters or play the game I have bought all the quest packs for, because the server can't handle the number of new players that have been thrown at it!

Why should I now be unable to play my game with my characters and with my kinmates, because Turbine cannot be bothered to distribute the server load instead of just picking Withywindle as recommended server and leaving the longstanding players to suffer? Even when I do manage to get onto the server, I have to put up with the lag due to the increased population and the fact that all areas below level 30 look like someone kicked over an ants nest.

This is doing nothing to enamour me to the idea of investing more money in this game!

i thought that there are too many ppl... but ive got VIP and still couldn't log, but then i saw...

Well if it is unscheduled maintenance, it certainly isn't indicated at log in. Because after I log in, it confirms that Withywindle server is up and running. It only fails after it tries to connect to it. Surely if the server was down for maintenance, it would not say that the server was up, would it?

It's definitely not some kind of server maintenance. Many players from my kin was complaining about this issue on TS, while some of us were in game.

P.S. Just now i got that same error, but after few tries, i was in. So just wait, or try again...

The server full error is unfortunately misleading. It has nothing to do with population, subscription status or anything it would lead you to believe is the actual issue. In fact, it simply means there is a problem with the login server that usually will clear itself in a brief period of time. If you're still experiencing this problem after waiting a little bit, please let us know.

I hope you are right sapience, I had this 1 hour ago and it Didn't fix it for now, I'm trying all the time :/

I also tried 10 times in a row just now and couldnt connect. The german website that tracks logins and population on the different lotro servers shows way more than 3000 players online for WW. Not sure, how accurate they can track it but it went out of their graph.

Seems like trying for an 11th time did the trick. I´am´in´.

If I'd were a bit older, I'd swing my cane towards your general directions and yell out "go out and play in the sun!"

I appreciate the irony though: How many of you would expect to see this error Message on withywindle if asked two weeks ago? ^^

Tried 3 times to log in with.Got the error message.Waited 5 minutes,tried again 2 times with no success.Waited 25 minutes and then tried to log in again.Tried for 7 times unsuccessfully.

I would have as it has literally nothing to do with actual population (much like the aforementioned German site).

Well I'm starting to believe it's really an "server error", because I was literaly kicked from the game about 15 min ago. Connection lost, server full. Since then I can't acces Withy. (And I don't want to believe that Turbines politic works like kicking ppl.)

I have been trying to get on to Withywindle almost continually for over 2 hours. Kin mates already ingame say that even logging out characters means they can't get back in with their alts. I am getting totally peeved here. Something is seriously wrong when the server won't let anymore players in while others are still playing. And as for kicking players out and not letting them back in, well not very good for Turbine's reputation is it?

The thing I cant understand is, is that us VIP/Premium players are supposed to have priority log in yet most of the new influx hasn't even paid for anything yet !!

My last few days of VIP this month are ticking away as I cant log in ....I paid for priority!

Still can't login.... luckly GW2 will be soon.

And if there were actually a queue you'd have it. This isn't the result of a full server. This is another problem. The error text is misleading.

Given the error happens just after the game gives the searching for logon server message the issue is indeed elsewhere, just the poor game lacks the vocabulary to report anything other than full servers.

BTW still going on which is a shame as I saw a lotto for the burg steed and cant log on my little f2p hobbit burg to get them close enough to enter the thing.

Still Cant log as well but i tried some other server and I could log in so it has to do with WW and it not a generalised error

I'm getting the same problem as well ... have been for the last 3-4 hours.

It seems to be getting stuck on the authentication server step.

Been trying for 4 hours 15 minutes and still no luck. I get to log in, select Withwindle which is shown as up and running. It starts to load the server and then the "Connection Failure, Server Full. Quit" message.

Just managed to get connected so might be worth trying again if you're not already doing so.

I'm still getting the error and not able to get on, 4 hours 30 minutes and counting.

Spent a nice couple of hours questing away and hit my target of the burg steed lottery and a very fun class quest to boot. No issues at all logging on my main account via steam for some horseplay.

Think the authenticator must just be in shock after the very welcome population boost recently.

Only possible downside was I bought uplink on my ipad while I waited and it's just as good as it was on pc, so might lure me away from lotro.

While it's a welcome thing that WW got a much needed player boost the unability to log in is.... annoying to say the least

Maybe the issue is not how many people are already in the server logged in but maybe how many people are trying to log in at the same time. Wild guess but maybe to many requests in a short amount of time (say...when school/work is over) make the login server to send errors. If thats the case then trying to log in every minute would agravate the issue, and it seems the case.

And that german site gets the logins right. Not sure about the population online though. Anyhow the server cant be full since we would have to experience the mother of all lag inside the game. And we just experiencing the usuall lag-to-be-fixed-soon.

Seen this discussion on other servers to so nothing special about WW. And yes they also blamed an influx of new players.

Eventually got in game, although it took 4 hours and 45 minutes to do it!

well it was a bit annoying i couldnt enter as well for some time yesterday...

I must tell though that when i saw the message i almost fell off my chair laughing xD isnt it a huge irony that the server where many complained all the time that it has no population and blah blah blah is now so full that they cant enter?

Annoying as hell too that when you do get in you are tripping over all the crowds of players, lagging like crazy, especially in Bree, queuing up for the chance to kill mobs, etc. Can't wait for the rush to die down so I can enjoy playing again!

this is not the first time I get server full message.
Turbine should use some of our hard-earned cash and upgrade server hardware to take the load off.
This problem is getting old, and now that it is school holiday time again all I can see is it getting worse.

It helps me very much with this problem , i am not sure if it does to you . I log to another server restart computer and i can log to WW hmmmmm strange.

Got that today, waited 5 min, tried a bit and i entered. Its very random....the autentification server has quite a temper.

It's a total pain and is happening so often and Withy is suffering such lag that I have started up characters on another server just so I can play when Withy is unavailable. The sad thing is the characters on the standby server are progressing faster than my main Withy ones!

yea i just bought a subscription,and dropped 60$ in game cards,now i cant log in
