=============
This weekend was very nice,..no Brave was in volved though I hear very good things so far. Maybe tonight is the night.
The wife and I took a subway ride out to one of her friend's home, where I was taught the ancient secrets of making dumplings! Flour/pork/shrimp/egg/chives. all roled into one!
it was quite fun rolling them and chatting, not to mention eating!
here is a pic!
Looks to be a slow starting week here,..crosses fingers,..I have alot of goofing off I wanna do.
Secret World beta is over,...was an interesting game and I will prolly play it for a few. The investigation missions are neat. I was not interested at all in GuildWars2,..but I have seens some vids lately,..I don't think I can avoid, 'not' trying it,. if not for educational purposes
I do look forward to riding across the plains of Rohan too! So there's that to look to as well.
Hope everyone is doing well with all their goings on and whatnot!
chime in!
cheers

no no no,...All the time in the world! and your glasses are Not broke at all.
well for one,..you can 'play every game out there!' .,.hehee,..
write a historical-fiction story!
I luv my copy of Ivanhoe,..it's a tough call between that and the Silmarillion. Apples and oranges,..
I finally got off the couch yesterday and went to a baseball game. It was "bark at the park" day. Emma was very well behaved. We had some trouble getting out of the car, but no new injured joints.
Emma spent most of the game like this.
But she did watch the game for a bit. She is tall enough that she could sit on the ground and still see the game.
The people in the row behind me bought pizza in the eighth inning and that started a wrestling match between Emma and I.
My laptop keyboard is still only partly functioning, so I am using the annoying onscreen keyboard. I may need to take this badboy to a repair shop.
I think I'm supposed to make a pizza at some point today. I forget exactly when. I'm also supposed to make a keyring, do some errands, re-start on the bracer, and... well I have a list but it's not in front of me just now. We went to see Prometheus last night and that was entertaining. I suspect Brave is next on the list.
It would sound to me, Mr. Doc, like you might need a good hobby to provide some new direction. I couldn't help but notice that there's a Tandy's somewhere in Elgin... =P
Unfortunately, TSA doesn't have the best track record when dealing with cyborgs. Hopefully that won't be an issue for the Borg-band down the road. I might hope that there's some common sense at some point and the whole TSA gets shut down in short order, but I suppose it's best to keep such hopes small.
Anywho, I'd best get to work. Ya'll have a good one!

Wow,..since I was mentioning The Secret World(TSW) I initially thought you meant that,..lol..I was like..wha..!? MMO's have gone too far now!!
back to reality, though,..that's awful,..when common sense is a luxury,..ugg,..
I’m feeling better although I’ve been told by a couple folks that I look glassy eyed. I hurt but it’s hard to dwell on it after talking to someone who just had a liver transplant 6 weeks ago.
The little creatures that are messing with the nerve in my back have exchanged the cheese graters for running shoes. It feels like things are racing across the muscle back and forth. The meds have dulled the pain but the spasms continue.
On the sorta bright side, my boss said that I need some back up if this ever happens again. Seems I’m reliable enough that no one else knows how to do what I do. They just need it. *laughs*
Hopefully Delaney will check in. I think the storm will miss her but not by much.
Emma is a beautiful girl BD.
Those dumplings do look tasty Welby
*Hugs and Muffins for everyone*

Might be a few little blurbs for the next couple weeks. Of course for this latest one I forgot to take any pics till after the whole thing was finished. Oh well. ^_^~>
So along with moving to another country I got a new phone, which of course meant getting a new case/armor/whatnot for said phone. After buying the first one that seemed viable I found I was disappointed with the "traction" it offered. This particular phone was too thin for me to really grip on it's own and while the case does help bulk it up a bit more they somehow managed to make polycarbonite very slippery. My solution was this little bit to A) increase gripability and B) make it clearly evident that the phone was MINE.
I was considering wrapping the whole case in suede to really give it some traction but after prototyping it with some paper I figured this to be a bit impractical. The signet itself was made from some scrap and the tooling was simple enough once I remembered how to use the tri-weave tool again. It's a little mussed when the pattern "closed" but I figure that was inevitable at this point. I use the tri-weave a lot but I'm not that good with it yet.
The pattern is stained pretty heavily with chocolate, the inner border with kote, and the signet itself with some diluted evening blue. There was some "oops" where all three come together but I guess I'm overlooking them. The whole thing was finished with super sheen so it's slick and shiny. I stuck it on there with a copious amount of rubber cement and so far it's holding pretty well. More than that it's definitely improved the gripability of the phone so mission accomplished I suppose.

That's one way to find out that you're appreciated, I suppose. Now if he'll just follow up with that idea!
I do hope you feel better soon!

/waves damply. It's practically sitting on top of us and I'm looking at four or five days of rain. This makes dealing with the stuff in the shed interesting. I did have to push the date the movers will come to pack the container as well as when the container will be picked up, but I had left some flexibility in scheduling so I could do so.
/poof you have a day off. Now all your kids come to you with extra requests since it's your day off.
oh wait, this isn't the "Corrupt a Wish" thread is it?!
BD - how's the knee?
Faythe - keep healing.
Doc - a hobby sounds like a great idea.
Delaney - let us know how the move goes.
Welby - dumplings. Yum.
Garaf - nice case. well done sir.
Alditha - just found a "two word" riddle game in the JRR Tolkien forums. It looks great - I have to turn it off because It's 35 pages long and I want to read the whole thing! You might enjoy it too. In fact, most of the coffeecrew would probably enjoy it.
The knee is still hurting. The constant pain is gone, but it hurts more and over a larger area than it did last week whenever i walk. I can barely make it down stairs anymore. I think I will head back to the doctor Wednesday if it doesn't start to clear up.
That is interesting Del. My mother lives just outside of Pensacola and she said that they haven't seen a bit of rain yet.

*Grabs a hold of her ankle and pulls her size 8 out of her mouth.* Right after I posted that the Weather Channel did an update and I realized that it really is sitting on top of you.
Hopefully it doesn't delay things too badly. And I'm glad you did check in.
*Hugs and an Unbrella*
