    Fire&Frost timers

I am looking at a way to avoid burg stacking in F&F T2 CM, and wanted to check with others if my numbers are correct:
    • X elemental grims every two minutes, +1 rage and potentially -X rage if done right
    • Y shadow grims every two minutes, +1 rage (can't it be avoided, moving the tank behind the giant ?)
    • Corruptions every minute, +1 rage can definetely be avoided by removing corruptions
    • Morale bubble every minute, +1 rage, hard to avoid but not exactly impossible
    • Time based rage every minute, +1 rage
    • End-fight rage lowering mechanism every minute, -1 rage (can anyone confirm the timing here ?)

So basically, if you reached the point where geants have a very low health, and a low value of rage (say 4 rage for example), getting two elemental grims simply counters the shadow grim rage increase? This would mean that you need three elemental grims every two minutes to lower the rage (dealing perfectly with all the bubbles and corruptions), meaning that the final stage has to last at least eight minutes in my example ? (and probably much more in any reasonable setting!).

Is anyone still trying this approach ?

Time based rage every 30s, not 1 min. End fight rage neutralizing that build-up is also 30s.

I've done the normal mode on Tier 2 with just 1 burg, being myself. We got close to the giants having maximum amount of rage but at least for the Normal Mode you don't need to stack burgs. On Snowbourn barely anyone goes for the Challenge because it was stated as impossible or something like that.

When I say "time based", that is not counting the grim pop. Now that you mention it, the grim pop can be a few seconds away from the related rage increase, so it might be better to consider that grim invocation does not increase rage, and rage is on a 30s timer. But anyway my original message mentionned the same average rage increase over a minute. This just removes one rage building mechanism, as I was counting grim invocation as a rage building mechanism and your answer suggests that it isn't one. Now I am having a hard time finding all "six or so" ways of increasing rage:
    1. player's death
    2. time based
    3. corruptions expiring
    4. bubbles expiring
    5. grims killed in the wrong place
    6. what else ?

Some in my kin suggested that leaving a grim near its summoning giant might increase rage. Any experience on that ?

On the end-fight neutralizing rage, 30s would be great but that is new to me. I read elsewhere that it was "alternatively every 30s", so I figured that it meant "every 30s one giant reduces the other giant's rage by one". Which would be one per minute. Are we quoting the same post with different interpretations, or did you experience it first hand? (is there any video showing this mechanism?).

The main goal of my original message is to find the original dev plan for this encounter in challenge mode. Normal mode can be (and has been) beaten without any burg. I don't have anything against burgs, but I simply think that this instance was not designed with the intention to force us to find two or three burgs to attempt challenge mode. I am trying to find the intended way of beating the challenge mode. This fight has been tuned down to reduce the grims health, but this is irrelevant to the way the challenge is currently beaten. There has to be another way, since the burg stacking way does not make any use of the rage reduction mechanism.

There are many videos on youtube that show 30s time-based rage. All T2 or T2c zerg strat. Grims don't start until a combined total morale of giants = 95%. Rage starts when fight activates.

Number 5 on your list can be broken into 5 and 6. 5. Killing fire/frost grim next to wrong giant gives +1 rage. 6. Killing shadow grim next to any giant gives +1 rage. They both involve grims just slightly different technicality.
