    Reaver tips please.

ok it may be a bad idea to post this but here is what i am useing at the moment.
Corruptions: Damage for Health 1, and Health for Power 2. i know i need to upgrade DfH too rank 2 but any other tips here?
Race: the only one i have is Front Line Fodder. only one i can get at this point.
Class: Quick Strikes, and Enanced Jagged Cut. i think there may be room for improvement here, any ideas?
    Aud: rank 3.
Skills: i picked up Glory in Victory, and i was thinking about getting Gut-Punch or Ravage. any tips here?
and i am at Rank 5.
how am i doing so far and where can i improve? any tips or tricks that helped you?
Also thank you Izerg for the tips you gave me. and would it be worth it to pick up some extra trait slots? and if so what type of trait?

rampage??? making up new skills are we?

replace jagged cut with anything else really it's not very effective imo.

get ravage then gut punch getting both would be best since you can skip animation with gut punch.

you should open up more class traits for sure race as well if you can.

but quite frankly there's not much point playing a reaver it seriously needs a revamp which will never happen I bet.

I heard an interesting idea for ranking up a low rank P2W reaver although I haven't tried it myself yet.
    1. Buy Thrash, Mutilation.
    2. Trait Jagged Cut, Extended Reach, and max damage.
    3. Find a large group fight.
    4. Charge in to the freep ball, throw all the AoE bleeds you can, then get out if possible.
    5. If you die, wait a while to see if some freeps die. If you live, get to safety and repeat step 4 until you die.
    6. Wait for other creeps to kill the various targets you put bleeds on.
    7. Profit. (the creep who advised me of this said he's earned 1k infamy in a matter of a few minutes using this approach but unverified)

    Freeps: r8 Mini
    Creeps: r10 Reaver, r8 WL, r8 Defiler, r8 Warg, r7 Spider, r6 BA

Relatively easy to do with a warleader and makes a difference in keep fights, not practical otherwise but jagged cut should be trait anyways.

well i have found jagged wound to be quite helpful. izerg said i should use burning blades, and get the trait for the skill that recovers from any state change stuns, roots, etc. i have some ideas of my own to work on. i was just wanting some tips from older better reavers.

    Yes resilience is handy.

Aoe and bleeds willl pick up lose infamy in a fight especially if its a free for all.

For direct damage ravage+gut punch is mainstay.

Dust + thrash combo = loads of aoe heavy bleeds.

Best tip for reavers is, have a strong desire to play the weakest class for kicks and the buzz of pulling it off. Be prepared to die a lot.

Throwing arms back after a kill and going rarr looks cool.

oh it is fun it is LOTS of fun if you enjoy it now you should have seen what it was in its glory days when freeps would actually go ''oh &&&&'' when a high ranked reaver charged at them, today it's just ''oh look free renown''.

i like my reaver. i don't think it's in as bad shape as people would make others think. it does take work but what creep doesn't to be effective. low ranks suck and the aoe bleeds in grp fights are a great way to get that early infamy. u will die but rake in as well (i would drop grps i was in because this seemed to be more lucrative ungrouped). gotta get the audacity when u can. i was lucky to get mine up to rk4 day before u6 so i had all those traits and plenty of corruptions (i go all 4 health, a mastery, and dfp2) and could work on audacity in between the next few ranks. once i got to rk5 i started to become effective solo against some freeps even not at full audacity. 6 improved it a bit, 7 even better and now at 8 with full audacity i am having a blast.

people already mentioned some great tips. ravage followed by gut punch is great on single targets. using thrash and mutilation and jagged gut to apply them bleeds works well for tagging. i don't use the jagged cut trait anymore though. blood of fire and fire damage is good for 1v1in and running solo and for just bout anything else so i always keep traited. i just got wrath at 8 and it is wonderful. i know this takes a lot of commendations and is a horrible grind so spending a few tp on some of the most useful skills/traits is fine imo. i pvp on a champ too so that helped me get commies quick for the orc. flayer of flesh, thrash, gut punch, glory in victory, the one that gives 10% morale and some crit and, if u 1v1 improved hamstring, are most useful i think. but most important thing about a reaver is this...

we are the coolest class by far, have two swords, charge in and fight like the monsters we are, and have the most fun doing so. who care's if we die alot and people say we are broken. they are the ones missing out imo.

I was the p2w reader that made a killing off the aoe tagging listed above. I have 2 r5 readers one p2w and the other only got thrash. Reaver is by far the worst class on creep side. That being said they still are very useful in the right hands. I've lead many raids and the success rate is always higher with a well played reaver opposed to another fotm warg in his place. I love to start off on the rks. Dev strike is very great way to combat their op heals when it doesn't get resisted. Also disarm on an rk after they attune up may prevent 8k damage on your raid. Your ape has potential to hit 8 targets which is most useful for putting an extra small strain on healers. The aoe bleeds are nice for this. Dust is great utility. Sunder armor lasts 1 min and in raid situations every debuff will count in downing fraids with their op heals. Like others said enjoy playin the underdog and try to master the few things they actually have going for them. Dev strike makes the godmode minis drop so bring a few fotm wargs and try to make them rage haha.

One being older than another does not make them great . Just cuz they are older, doesnt mean they are better, no offense to any reavers in here, they prolly are better than me, was just making a point hehe .

    Np tho, Dalok.
