Old hardcore player returning as casual.

    Hello,

I've been playing this game from November, 2007 to December, 2010 on a daily basis. My 2 oldest characters (Lokifrid and Lokidred) have wandered and explorer everything that the game had to offer back then including, Fornost, Angmar instances, the Rift, all Moria instances (way before Medallions to get armour pieces) including Dâr Narbugud, The Watcher (versions 1,2 and 3), DN (hate Globsnagas, btw), Lothlorien's Battle of Lórien (very few really attempted that one back in the day) and Mirkwood including it's skirmishes, instances and the LT of Dol Guldur.

I was a member of mostly small but very end game/raid oriented kinships like The Light of Telperion (casual, family friendly with one of the best people you can find in this game), The Council of Light (good hearted officers and excelent balance between casual and en game content), Middle Earth's Chosen (end game oriented, no longer active, made very good friends in there), Radiance (short-lived but composed of friends that were in the top of their game but avoided the pro-playerism of raiding Kins, miss everyone there a lot), Flames of Valar (All-brazilian hardcore kinship, lot's of achievements and portuguese speaking victories in Moria and Mirkwood) and The Outcast Society (which gave me the pleasure to reunite with old friends, gave me some good new ones and teached me how to defeat the lieutenant of Dol Guldur).

While I always looked after endgame content, I'm strictly against professional kinships that made Lotro your second job. I already have a boss at work and in the game is a time for friends and fun.

I decided to quit the game a while after Enedwaith was released since I was pretty much logging to chat and raid. at that time we had no new levels to achieve and all the good gear was still back in Moria, 5 levels behind the 65 level cap.

While I've attempted to get back to Lotro since then, the game had changed so much (focused in the Store goodies) and most of the old friends gone that I never stayed around to much. It was like that old girlfriend that you are still in love but knows that you two together won't work because both have changed. I know that now I look a more end-game/casual experience and won't be able to devote long hours that raiding requires.

Riders of Rohan really got my interest nack and now I want to level my 65's one at a time. Currently I'm working on my Captain, but have a Hunter, Warden, Burg, Champion in the line.

I'm looking for a friendly, open-minded kinship to be a part of to show me how much is there yet to see (I missed the whole content of the Isengard expansion) and help me re-adapt into the game. I'm sure this is still a great game and some of the changes were extremely positive to the community.

    Thanks,

    Loki.
Lokifrid, Lokidred, Lokirond, Lokiriel and Flinti!
(yeah... Flinti! Doesn't match but it's there!)

Enjoying Turbine's Middle Earth since November, 2007

You sound like a great fit for the Hammerfist Clan. We're a smaller group that's not hard core by any means but finds time to run instances of all kinds and in all areas. We help each other out a lot and generally have a good time and a good laugh.

A lot of us have been in the game for a long time and we have a lot of knowledgeable people to help move you from 65 up. (I know, I took a break after Enedwaith and just recently came back myself.)

So check us out at www.hammerfistclan.com.

We look forward to hearing from you!

    Thanks,
    Swijr

    Hey Loki,

Welcome back to the game. It sounds like Hammerfist Clan would be a good fit for you. We're a level 10 kinship, been around since launch. We're an adult guild looking for mature members age 18 or older. We're a social/casual mature kin. How you choose to spend your gaming time is up to you. Dictating how and when you need to play is not our style, we understand part-time gamers with full-time lives. It's our goal to provide a friendly, stress free environment in which to enjoy the game.
You can check us out at hammerfistclan.com
