Am I still a kinnie? Thinking about playing again now that I have the net and have settled down. I'm in Taos, New Mexico if anyone visits here...look me up.

Hey Q How ya been, thought you quit for sure! If yer not in the list, you can always be added again bud, see ya soon hopefully!
Still kickin' after 2.5 years. We've gotten a little smaller (originally a hobbit kin, after all)--cozier, you may say--and some of our folks are holding out for the new Mirkwood content. But we're still around, and still bringin' the three-foot smackdown. Just wanted to say hi there and ho there to anyone who may have been wondering.
Hey there, Middle Earth. Just keepin' ya up with the state of Swifty and Hammo!
There was a double sighting the other day--Swifty and Nicker! We've actually started to see a lot of cool folks from the past come back over the last month, including Sang and Troub (disguised as alts), and Yev and Reg--as you see on the site. We've been kickin' some Rift and stirrin' some Turtle, as we await the onset of Mirkwood. Still haven't dropped the Watcher as an all-kin group, but some of us have partnered with other kins (I know yer out there, Sturmer!) to get it done.
We even took a group into the Moors. As my sixth graders write--OMG.
As I tread the darkened, musty halls of Moria, I'm happy to see all the younger, newer kins--aren't they cute?--but it pleases me to say that the great ship S&H is still chuggin' mightily along.
Swifty and Hammo keeps on Truckin! After a brief hiatus from the game, was very nice to return to a full, active kinship. Lots of activity here, so many of you on all the time....now to get you all to slow down, so I can hit 65 and hang with yall! I am tired of solo skirmishes!!!
The boss has left the building--and the HUGE farewell he got on his thread is a testament to the lasting impact that one-eyed hobbit had on our server. Forum lurkers will always pine for their Arkenstone Observer, the constant attention he gave to the community, and the tone he set back in the Beta days of LOTRO. A recent post noted that having Pie Day without Swifty was unthinkable. We in the kin he created salute this
And just so ya know, we're doing fine. We've had three consecutive weekends of server events (the first one was rather quiet, but the New Year's Trivia-Race Event and our most recent Pie Giveaway went very well), and we maintain the casual atmosphere that has been in place since the kin was formed.
This kin ain't going anywhere. We're all over Mirkwood and wiping in raid events just as consistently as ever Until the ring is melted, we shall be here. We shall bake pie. We shall slay and be slain, drink, and be merry, and rejoice in this fine community. Cheers to ye, sojourners of the Ark!
Thank you, Swifty and Hammo for the fun events this weekend! The scavenger hunt was a blast, and I even won a consolation prize for coming in a close second! Keep up the good work!
We're around, doing quite well--and I believe hobbits still have the upper hand In fact, we're encouraging all our skirmishing toons (at least I am) to make sure that their soldiers are hobbits, so we're never outnumbered when going to war!
Just wanted to pop in and remind everyone that we are here and as strong as ever!
We have an active base of toons leveling up! Our Gamm-Trak group has finished after clearing every non-raid ring in the game! Other leveling groups are working there way up!
We raid 2 nights a week - our advanced group is in BG with another raid running one of the other instances - DN, Watcher.
Just want to let your kinship know that my account was hacked last night and a character by the name of Chebeq has posted two of my items on the auction house for sale. All told he wiped out 5 characters of all items, crafting resources and crits. probably got in the area of 10 gold for selling the stuff. I have reported this to Turbine but really, that was months of work and saving and gaming all gone in 8 hours. Hope the kick him/her off.
Happy New Year bump to the Mighty Midgets of Middle Earth! Great to have you back aboard the Ark Swifty, now we demand an Observer in return for re-stamping your passport!
Just going to remind folks that we are still as active as ever!
Swifty and Hammo continues to be a kin with members at all levels of the game and of all ages. We regularly run instances and raid 2 or 3 times a week. Our higher level players are running BG and helping others with everything from GA to CD.
Our kin has players online most of the time with the highest numbers on the weekends and from late afternoon EST to fairly late at night PST. We have members all across the US and on several other continents.
Swifty and Hammo, the "causal raiding kin" would like everyone to know that we are looking for a few good raiders. We currently have raids scheduled 4 nights a week. We are looking for more experienced folks to join us and raid Friday and Saturday in OD. We also have some "getting used to raiding" nights set up on Tuesday and Thursday in DN. We run about 2 hours in DN for those that are new to raiding, new to playing a certain class, can't raid on the weekend or just can't get enough raid!
If you are looking for more information about us visit our website, www.swiftyandhammo.com, contact any officer or our co-leaders Damworth and my humble self.

Re: Swifty and Hammo
I come back from my hiatus of 2 years and find this thread unbumped and not on the front page.. Anyone care to tell me what happened to Swifty and Hammo?? It was such a prominent Kinship on Arkenstone and I'm shocked to see it barren..
Yep, SWTOR did take a few of our leading members away, but they still check in. We created joint guilds in SWTOR and use the same vent server for both games, so we can jump down to those voice channels and bug those Scruffy Nerf Herders if we need to. We are still reasonably solid overall. 3-man and 6-man content is run almost nightly and we're trying 12-man approximately weekly, although we admittedly can't always fill that up. I saw last night that we've been partnering with another kin (Middle Earth Warriors?) on occasion for those.
I think the reason this thread is barren is just because we don't have many heavy forum goers in the leadership. I might have to see about getting myself designated as official forum ambassador, although I'm not really in leadership and have little desire to be.
We are still the extremely casual raiding kin we've always been. We don't even have an official kin kill of Draigoch yet, although I think that's mostly due to him bugging out.
I've been playing on the Arkenstone Server since launch, and been playing Lotro since the Alpha stage of testing, and I can attest to the quality and care SaH have given to their members from observance and from speaking with its members. Always been an upstanding kin full of fine folks who like to have fun and know how to do so-- SWTOR took the mickey outta a lot of kins, but I would like to say how pleasing it is to still see SaH around. Here's to your health, you guys, cheers!
I get tired of logging into these forums and folk start bumping this up.
First big shout out to the original boss... SWIFTY!!! how you doing?
Next, I would agree that this game has taken a hit from SWTOR and we did loose some good folk while others (myself included) are bouncing games.
While that is true, after a short low point we are raiding and doing instances 2 to 4 nights a week. Recruiting is up and we have a bunch of folks leveling toons. Our own Gammi is working on #11. We remain the casual kin that Swifty and Hammo intended and often have 10 to 25 players on at night.
So if a causal kin that likes to have fun is you kind of group, check us out at www.swiftyandhammo.com.
At this point in the game I see GLFF recruiting, I see recruiting threads in the forums, I even hear of the random kin invites......
And I would like to point out that....
Swifty and Hammo continues it's proud tradition of never recruiting!
We won't tell you we need captains or tanks, we want you to play what you want to play, not what we think you should!
We do have plenty of room in the kin for anyone who would like to apply on our web site, but if you are looking for us to recruit you, I am afraid your out of luck.
So you won't see us recruiting, but you will see us parting! Join us in Bree at the Boar Fountain on July 7th at 3pm eastern for a fun filled round of 20 question. Great prizes for correct answers!
