Thread: Intel hd 3000

I have an Intel hd 3000 intergrated graphics in my laptop, the optimal graphics settings is very high, but when I put it there my fps is 19-25. If I lower to low-medium, it shoots up into the 40s-50s. Any idea on how I can run on very high and still have decent fps. Oh an I'm running the game on dx9, if you needed to know.

Integrated chipsets are junk. You need a real graphics card with dedicated memory for any type of game these days.

My gaming desktop has a radeon 6870 in but the motherboard failed, so I'm stuck using the laptop till I get the replacement

You're going to have to play at lower quality settings. The 3000 is the integrated into CPU graphics from intel. It's actually not nearly as terrible as older integrated graphics, but it is incredibly limited by memory bandwidth.

Keep the quality around medium, and then turn off everything relating to shadows. Adjust draw distance. You pretty much want your *minimum* framerate over 30fps, which will probably average 40-60fps in other locations.
