    Thumbs up Honorable 1v1

As you all should know, the time for honorable 1v1 battles is over. Jeeze, everyone time I try to 1v1 someone in an epic battle, others just come up from the battle just to kill me, this is both on the Freepside and the Creepside. It's almost like Turbine should create another PvMP area just exclusively for 1v1. Anyways, does anyone agree with me that we should have more honorable 1v1 battles?
I mean, look and Gilrain and Landroval there, they both have awesome 1v1 battles....to say the least, FireFoot is kind of lacking a little bit, on the Freepside and the Creepside.

Sorry, but FF has about 6-8 creeps that actually have a clue on how to play outside of a zergball or with even numbers. Other than those few the rest are terribad. In fact, most of the decent creeps I have encountered are freep mains who flip to creepside.

So, in response to your request, Good luck. Baddies want absolutely nothing to do with 1v1s (or even numbered fights) and unfortunately thats what makes up the vast majority of creeps (and freeps) on FF.

I agree 1v1s are fun, and lets face it there is no shame in losing.

I've switched several times to creep to ask about 1v1s and never got a response..

I have had a few good ones though with Panda, Melk, Caligo, Legdog, tried to drakk but ecb isn't a good 1v1 spot..

Come on people and beat me! 8.1k morale, 5red 2yellow.. I know many higher ranked creeps could out dps a poor wdn.

The issues, though much due to Turbine's imbalanced idea of pvp, can be laid at the feet of the players. Creeps have found it easier to tag along in a huge mob, leeching infamy off the higher ranked creeps who are "leet" or to have an oversized group to combat the freep population. They say, "there's about (X) freeps out, so we need a group at least (X) big to combat them. But when there are 5 creep groups all (X) big and only one freep group (X) big, then it becomes a big nasty zerg fest.

That being said, freeps clearly play cheaply as well. I have had several times where freeps feign death, run into a keep, run around rocks, run away, etc, etc, all in 1v1 situations until a group of several come to help. It's sad, but that's the way it is. I personally don't give a care about rating and actually enjoy dying to a big group as I attempt to get a kill. It makes it fun.

It would just be nice to see people using their skills and numbers in a more advantageous way than just to say, "Ha! I screwed you out of points!"

@FR-yes, yes, you are climbing the ladder, also meaning more creeps are gunna have a target on ur head.
@Jrayk-that is true and you seem to have outsmarted me(don't go too crazy), however, if everyone could listen up and actually have some honor in battle, *we* could pull this off.

If you're going to conduct 1v1s and you don't want to be interrupted, you should go somewhere isolated like Candy Mountain. Otherwise no one arriving on the scene is going to know it's an arranged duel and will expect help from the opposing side to show up/pop out of stealth any moment.

yes well how would one arrange a dual when theyre alrdy on the battle field, eh? I pull back, i go off into the woods, i run away, but i can never get the chance to be isolated.

For individuals wanting to engage in 1v1's, a method that I have found to be quite effective in communicating (in the post-afk message world... miss those days) is as simple as jumping up and down. If you run across someone random and know that you and they both like to 1v1, jump up and down to each other acknowledging that "Yes, I would like to 1v1 you." Targeting them as you do is also helpful. Then the two of you can try finding a more secluded spot instead of in a haphazard location or in a high traffic area. Candy Mountain of course being the most appropriate location for seclusion. Although it was hell up there when the zone line bug was going around. Crossing back and forth on the zone line in the middle of it and lagging out or having the client crash was very.... annoying....

Servers where I have seen the jumping method not only work but be the preferred method of acknowledgement:

    Windfola
    Meneldor
    Silverlode
    Firefoot
    Landroval
    Elendilmir

Those are the servers I've used the technique on, and the opponent knew what I was trying to accomplish. Just wish we could use afk-messages again. It was so much easier when you could just tell the other side: "AFK - 1v1 me or give me bacon!"

firefoot pvp has always been a joke, and if I ever actually see a 1v1 either side i would jump in.

then again all of lotro pvp is a 5 year old unchanged, unupdated, uncared for POS.

Hey Turbine, PvP instances... hurry up. Though i think with all of turdbines updates, they just want casual 13 yr old players who get TP for thier birthdays, holidays, religious milestones, and good report cards to fill the servers.

And ofcourse, with the overpriced 0 content rohan update, they will probably just add all top end raid/pvp gear to the store.

    75s on Firefoot
Connomir: Warden of Firefoots Best, Resurrection
    Clionna - Connormir - Connamir - Ramapo

Whenever I played my warg, I would venture out to find some 1v1's, but at the dominant hour, all I would find is a large cluster of players that follow each other and rampage about like a monkey chasing a banana. The best time for 1v1's was in the morning when few people were on...but the ones that were online were not so skilled and it seemed unfair.

I suggest a once a week 1v1 night or something along the lines of it. Perhaps every Sunday night? Just a thought.

You, know, that is an AWESOME idea! Just like in kinships where there are raid nights, book help nights, etc., etc., the same thing could happen in the Moors, man, we need more geniuses like you on FireFoot....

1v1's were fun when things were balanced - not so much anymore. I can't lose a 1v1 on my champ. Period. Not unless I'm purposely not using specific skills. Admittedly it has nothing to do with my skill as a player, but the imbalance of the class.

I have 1v1'd twice recently, however, for specific purposes: a) to fight a warg in flayer to just do some number crunching and b) a ranked defiler w/ traited flies to find the best way to counteract. Outside of that I have little desire to participate. I know who can and cannot put up a decent fight, otherwise it's just farming.

    a) It's not paying, we all get 500 TP a month
    b) I've bought trackers one time, 2 days ago. We had an annoying little warg (probably you) that kept wanting to play tag then run away. And yes I did use the other 4.
    c) Outside of that my 500/mth goes to in-combat brands. If I'm gonna fight 5+ creeps in their npcs, yes I will pop one.
    d) The ridiculous amount of imbalance and lazy devs has pushed me to GW2.

You are playing the wrong game for 1v1's. I also have no clue who your creep is, and I don't really notice jumping in the moors. I just charge at whatever I see.

Come to freepside and send me a /tell if you want a 1v1.

Sorry that jumping didn't work with those individuals. Please remember what I said:

The key to this is BOTH of you like to 1v1. There are many a player who view the Moors for what it is; open pvp zone. Its not an instanced pvp arena. There are no rules governing what constitutes a fair fight, only self-proclaimed opinions which some players hold on to sanctify or justify their particular playstyle. You're not always going to see eye to eye with your opponent, and some people just don't believe in uninterrupted 1v1's. Keep trying. You'll discover the freeps who like to 1v1 and the ones that don't. Trial and error. "Fair" fights and "unfair" deaths.

Don't feel stupid, just feel inexperienced. The only way you're going to find out who plays what styles and who likes to 1v1 or not is to get out there and experiment. You might also just try hopping on freepside and asking in glff something like: "I'm trying to compile a list of players who like to 1v1 in the moors. If you like to 1v1 put an 'x' in glff. If you despise 1v1's in the moors, put a "qq" in glff."
