Thread: Server Full!?!

I went to log on my account as usual and something happened that's never occurred before. When I logged on and my account was being connected to the server a message appeared that said server is full, cannot connect. Why is this happening? I am a VIP as well as a regular player so why then do we have a server that's full and cannot serve the very people who pay their salary? I need to know if anyone else has had this problem because I don't believe Turbine can possibly be this careless as to have a MMO where their loyal customer's are treated like just another issue with lag times and so forth. This is my first complaint and will be my last if Turbine can't get their act together. Come on guys you have created an awesome game but their are issues going unresolved and not being able to log in should never be an issue but here I find myself to be mistaken. Please correct these issues for all of us who love this game.

It would help to know which server you're having issues with.

I'm a Premium player and I just logged in to Brandywine, Crickhollow and Nimrodel with no problems.

I'm getting the same error trying to log into Nimrodel.

A bit of research shows that this is a (semi-)generic error, not actually a full server.

Nimrodel is the server world that I was trying to connect to. I'd like to know what you mean by generic message though.

It's an error message that pops up for a number of connection errors, even when the server isn't actually full.

I just got in fine. Try again.

How is it a login issue? I've enter in everything correctly and doubled checked it. So I don't understand why it's a login issue. Can you further explain why that is?

I am getting the same error on Nimrodel. I tried Brandywine and I was able to login in without any problems. So this might be isolated to few servers following the maintenance that went on today.

I am having that problem as well. Could log into other servers but not into Nimrodel. Have tried several times but it's still not working.

Same here, I could not login to Nimrodel server! I see that iy is available and as it is waiting for server authentification I get the server is full screen with my only option to quit...

So let's recap.

you love the game, have played for ages, encounter a problem logging in and immediately run to the forums to yell about how you pay their salaries and you're going to rage quit?

A nice reasoned response to encountering a technical error.

I also don't believe in blaming and quickly rushing to conclusions, but this is the first I recall of ever being told my server is full - Nimrodel, 4 attempts.

I also heard in general chat last night that the server is currently being "recommended" as new players' choice.

Could it be temporary over-load? Regardless of server or log-in errors, doesn't matter to me. But it can't be a coincidence...can it?

Assuming you are sincere then let's see..... The server that processes your login request encountered an unspecified error and through no fault of your own was uable to actually log you in. That's why it's a login issue.

Usually such things are transitory, please try again. Sometimes they are not, but will be fixed in a timely manner. It's not worth blowing a gasket over.

Well something is not right with the login for Nimrodel. Getting Server Full/Quit.

Last time this was an error somewhere with Turbine's stuff and not really that there are too many players. There are a lot of new players (at least out on the ettenmoors asking for Mana) but not enough to fill up the server.

Hopefully someone in Boston will restart it and let us get online.

(Side note first: Those that feel we are jumping to conclusions, let's just be clear - this has NEVER happened before so we (I) am experiencing this for the first time and, personally, learning and accepting it.

Played a young character on another server for about 25 minutes and re-tried Nimrodel. I got in, but on choosing the "next world" or is it "Last world played" to select Nimrodel, as I have to change it to play a non-Nimrodel server, it said Last Played "Today" and I didn't play yet today. So there is some code or other residual that figured I played even though a few attempts were failed.

I don't have many (if any) issues with the game. This was just a kind of knee jerk reaction, like, WTH? Interesting.

It's not an issue with YOU. It's an issue with the authentication server, not with what you entered. Could be any number of things from too many people hitting at exactly the same time to some sort of race condition that occurs under unusual circumstances.

Just try logging in again. If you can get it to occur "reliably", log everything you can and file /bug report with as much data as you've gathered on how to repeat the problem.

God i hope it isnt nimrods turn in the bucket as the preffered server, but i have been seeing a load of pita noobs running around and a lot more chatter than usual. Was trying to level up a toon, but quickly gave that up, noobs are everywhere running around like roaches. Good thing i have 5 others i play on just for reasons like this. Hows that for planning? hehehe
