Thread: Petition to bring back Destiny Points!

As you know, to buy skills, traits, and everything else, the currency commedations is used.
The currency is much harder to get then destiny points and it can take DAYS for new players to even get some skills to stand up against competition.
(Add destiny points back for skills, just leave commedations for Audacity,pots,etc!) - idea
Just thought we should see how many people would greet the destiny point system back.

Turbine obviously know's what they're doing. Having a boring, grindy, useless system that nobody likes was much better than destiny points.

Not gonna happen. That would be a perk for VIPs which seems to be strictly against Turbine policy these days.

No. Instead adjust commendation prices and award rates. Keep the PvE Perks currency out of PvMP; Bring us back ways of acquiring it beyond a fixed amount per character in PvE land (Aka, some other source besides leveling a new toon for more DP.)

Does nobody on these forums realise that online petitions are next to totally useless? It doesn't say much when X-amount of people just typed /signed on a web page.

It would work with commendations, if they removed the cap and adjusted the prices of the lower ranks. As of now, it is inevitably difficult for a new player to get any new skills, or to even rank up.

./Signed unless Turbine can fix the current commendation crisis (Hah! Alliteration fun!)

I don't mind commendation for audacity, I think that is a nice boost that creeps get as a reward for playing, much like the audacity gear for freeps. But basic skills should not cost anything. You should be free to get them when you rank up. All commendation on skills is doing is putting another road block on new creeps making it harder for them to start fighting. The really sick thing is that in order to get commendation you need to be in a raid but in order to get into a raid you need commendation to buy those skills.

If there was even the slightiest chance of DP making it back into the game, then Turbine would be indirectly admitting failure on their side with the implementation of the commendations system. Not gonna happen.

well turbine will never admit the messed up but. we dont need to change things back to DP. what really needs to happen is tweaking the comms so that prices are lower. or make skills and certaint other thing cost in game currncy(gold, silver, copper.)
and nerfing freeps so that we have a fair shot.
By the way there is already one of these threads its called "Unfair Currency"

Never gonna happen. The change from destiny to comms was a blatant move made solely for the purpose of making much much more money via the GD Turbine store.... Just like changing the virtues up a bit. Why grind virtues when you can just buy them? The Turbine store is freaking disgusting and is the reason I stopped playing this game for years.

Either they need to bring back destiny points (very unlikely) or they need to drastically reduce the cost/time it takes for a creep to attain his skills with commendations. Right now it's ridiculous how much grind is needed. Is Turbine really that desperate to get us into their cash shop?

As a long time player I feel I got the shaft with commendations. I took a break after leveling 2 characters to 75 only to come back and figure out not only are my 2 freeps trash but my reaver was as well. I always thought of creep side as something I could fall back on when I couldn't handle the PvE.

I'm very disappointed to see commendations and audacity. Not only am I extremely gimp in a lot of scenarios but all the DP I spent hours and hours getting is nearly worthless. As someone who plays less then 10 hours a week (100% pvp) I am not getting very many commendations. I've been working at it for a couple of months now and if I spent all my comms on audacity on 1 toon I would only have 3 audacity...

This new commendations and audacity is the new Radiance v 2.0 as once stated in a different thread. The grind is the worst and has been the worst implementation for PvMP.

As many of us know Turbine rarely likes to acknowledge mistakes made concerning PvMP. When Destiny was being removed these same threads went around for days ignored. The chance of the developers coming back now and reverting the system saying they were wrong are zero to none.

All commendations have done for me is stop me from playing any other creep class... the grind for commendations is ridiculous to even think of leveling another creep class and ruins the fun of playing the other classes as a whole.
