Thread: Need advice on Clever Retort

Hey all. I have a level 43 burg that I truly enjoy playing. However, I just noticed that my trait deed for Honed Wit (use clever retort) is not advancing. I seem to be stuck at 24/250. I cannot advance this trait

Before I report it, I want to make sure I am doing it right. I apply a trick to a target, then while in mischief stance I use the skill Clever Retort. I know the skill works... every once in a while I get a gamble applied to the target, or at the least one of the four other possibilities: red, green, blue or yellow.

I really want this trait, as I hate running in mischief mode and would prefer Quiet Knife right now, and gambler later on when that line opens up more to me.

Is the Progress-Bar in the Book yellow?
Then have you reached your Daily Limit.

Also, grey Mobs doesn't count.

My burg has been progressing this deed fine - maybe you should raise a tech support ticket in case you've got a bug?
What I do is switch into Mischief before one single target fight to fire off Clever Retort, and then once that mob is dead switch back to either Quiet Knife or Gambler (my Burg is lvl 59 so I run in gambler - it's a lot of fun
When Clever Retort is off CD I switch back to Mischief again and rinse & repeat

Sorry, forgot to add that too. No, it's not advancing at all, not on a daily level. It's not yellow.
