Like any noob who has never played a MMORPG before LOTRO, I kept creating toons on different servers, thinking that they were in the same world. It took me about a week to figure out that was not the case.
I chose to stay on Nimrodel after I got pretty good at navigating the old forest (without no silly map!) on my hobbit hunter.
I continue to play on Nimrodel because I enjoy my kinmaties and doing stuff with friends. Plus it would be a b**ch to level a bunch of crafting alts again. It has its downsides, like the failing PVP and the absurd ease of solo play. This is why I take breaks, so I don't burn out on the game.
I originally rolled toons on several servers, but then joined my first kin, Defenders of the Valar and met a lot of fun people who are still friends to this day.
I stay because this server has charactor(s) XD I truely think this is, for better or worse, a very unique server.

It was a decent server, now there are too many new 10-30 lvls annoying the hell out of you, keep spamming the trade chat and spamming the invites when you have declined them 4x.
I agree with everyone so far... and It is sad to have to ignore low level noobs simply because they've come from WoW or some other mmo that doesn't teach it's players some common courtesy T.T but thems the breaks, they have to learn the proper ways of how we run things on Nimrodel
And yes I am aware as I type this about how prolific and arguably inane most of my posts in GLFF are, but it's all in the name of fun, and like it or not, I love trolling and getting trolled in GLFF as it provides happiness and relief from boredom especially on a day when I'm down and out or tired
Maybe this thread can keep going.
Nimrodel Pride ^_~
"My girl, my girl, Don't lie to me, tell me Where did you sleep last night?"
I pretty much agree with everything you guys have said, but I really love talking to the glff community here, as well as my kin. I tried making a few other toons on other servers, but it just wasn't the same for some reason, so I got bored and deleted them .
However I haven't had a problem with lvl 10s-30's asking me questions or asking me to join their instances/skirms...maybe I just suck and they know it?
Memories are pretty much why I've stayed this long, and a close community. Have never played a game in which people knew each other so closely. That's what makes the server fun...always had a smaller population. Met some great people on this server and I'd never want to have started somewhere else.

Well I started here pretty much at random, or maybe it was the recommended server. I stay because Nimrodel has the best girls. Elf maidens, hobbit lasses, and women, I love em all. Pretty good music scene too. People are friendly for the most part. Did I mention the girls?

except for his armor's effect on my teeth...damn you Droilan!
I do agree though so many old friends and good times! (Suicide healing Droilan on my mins), reading the best pvp the game has to offer (here on our forums!)
Burg packs,
Warg packs,
Windybear/Fink/Turmil/Grima raids, The hornblower in TA that kills his own horn.
Milt you heading back over to freepsides now?
Keep it up people, the game wouldn't be the same without you all!
