What is your favorite steed in the game?

My favorites are Algraig, Mathom Society and Galadhrim.

The latter is the one I've always wanted, but until i get her, the other two are right at the top of my list.

What are your favorites and your overall no.1?

Steed of the Rune-Keeper! It's the one I've ridden the most. It just seems natural. I like the Galadhrim rep horse too. I like the Nimble Black Goat too, at least the decoration (red cords, etc). I wish there was a horse like it.

I actually like the steed of the Hunter too, I bought it for my Hunter. Was going to buy the steed of the Guardian too but there was no point since I don't just get horses to say i have them...i only want ones i'll use and I preferred Algraig.

I don't have a favorite really. On my main, I have quite a few, but the one I tend to use the most is the Steed of the Dusk Watch.

The Isengard War Steed is my favorite, followed by the new Steam horse, Steed of the Jester, Steed of the Champion, Smokey Black, Algraig, Dusk-Watch Steed.

Hmm, hard to say. I'm an avid pony collector. I have 58 steeds, so it's hard to choose between them. I'm riding the Prized Isengard Great-Pony at the moment, mostly because it's my latest acquisition and it's relatively rare. I also like the Steed of the Hunter; it feels just right as an everyday mount. I like the Steed of Minas Ithil for formal occasions.

I'm actually digging the Noble Grey Steed that came with the Steam Starter Pack right now. I'm using it most often over the festival drop mounts I have.

Wouldn't say it's my favourite per se, but the one I use most on my main is the Prized Angmar's Free Peoples Horse.

Dusk Watch is nice but I only got him on one character, I think my favourite would be the "new" Angmar steed. But if we're talking steeds in general I might be inclined to pick Forzunk, the great black warg from the Grand Stair.

Of course, we have yet to see the Steed of the Captain.

Yeah, that's my favorite right now too. Great looking, 168% run speed, 250HP, no flag, what's not to like about it? Algraig looks great, but if I ever get it will probably not use it much since it is only 162%.

I've been riding the Mathom Society pony for as long as I remember.

I typically use different steeds on different characters depending on the cosmetic outfits/background lore of each character.

This mount is so much fun watching and listening to the treasure laden bags of gold coins jingling as they spill out. I hope someday to get this fantastic prize on all my characters.

I ride the Dunedain Great Horse (metadeed mount) on my RK and Mini, I like it (even the zombie eyes) and it actually took a bit of effort to earn. It's too bad Turbine has decided that mounts you earn through effort can't be used for warhorse skins, only store-bought ones.

My other two favourites are the player-designed Smokey Black from MW (cappy and champ ride it) and the very old Autumn Fest pony. It's not as refined as the newer ones, but my scruffy hunter looks right at home astride it.

Occasionally break out something else for variety, like the Eriador Horse.

Anything without one of those goofy flags on it

I usually ride the Steed of the Hunter, but I love my Algraig, Grey Company, and Galadhrim War-horse. I like to choose my horse to match my outfit, so my 'favorite' changes frequently lol.

I like my World Renowned horse because it's the only horse that feels special to me because of what I did to earn it. I also really like the Algraig horse. In fact, if the devs let me play as a tattooed Algraig woman riding an Algraig horse, I might have an algasm. Am I allowed to say that?

I was always a fan of the Tundra Horse, that is until I received my Steed of Many Colours. This horse is very aestetically pleasing. It's the Rachael Leigh Cook of Steeds.

I don't have very many yet but I absolutely LOVE the Fireworks one from the anniversary festival.

Every time it drops a firework as I am riding it looks like it joined the "flamers" club.

For those that don't know what flamers are. Lets just say they set human methane emissions aflame.

    Totally cracks me up.

Aesthetically I like the Eglain steed best. It's one of what I call the "proper" mounts as in it looks ready for a proper days work not all frilled and fancified. Its appaloosa coat is really quite striking. I'm also a big fan of the Algraig mount too.

Mounts I ride though tend to be the higher statted ones that I've aquired from various sources. The Lossoth one I'd wanted for my warden since I saw the screenies months ago so I'm delighted to have that . I ride the World horse on a couple of alts, the Dusk horse, Jester pony and my lottery won Runekeeper Steed and Steed of Night.

Gosh, there are so many great looking mounts it is hard to pick a favorite. I keep several on the quick slot bars and rotate them often. I tend to like those best that were earned via in-game achievements. I look at them and fondly remember the effort it took beyond luck of the lottery or laying down RT dollars and cents. But, that's the role player in me speaking who prefers in-game gains to those purchased outside of normal in-game activity. My characters could never accept the "outsider" Steam, Mithryl or Store Exclusives into their stable.

So, that being said, my favorites right now are The Elf Ambassador, Galladrhim and The Rivendell horses for, not only their aesthetics, but for all the work it took to earn them.

    try out the plugin kragenslots!

you can set up a quickslot so you have one icon on screen, with several horses added to it in a config dialogue. you can set the icon to change to the next item in its list, so you can ride a different horse each time you click on it.

My main only has maybe 5 or a couple more than that [e.g. a basic one bought in the Bree-land horse fields, a Thorin’s hall kindred rep goat, the one you get for completing the first volume of the epic quest, a Mithril edition one,…, one or two other kindred ones] but my favourite by far is my Evendim kindred rep one. Really nice brown & white markings.

Of the ones I’ve seen but not got the Eriador horse looks great.

Hmm.. favorite steed? theres alot too choose from indeed..
though my choice boils down to:

    Galadhrim mount..

Mirkwood mount (the golden armoured one, not the black)

And the book 12 mount from laerdan.

and finally the mount from Forochel.. the rep one
Hmm... what to put here.. I don't know.. you tell me. and ill consider it!

I wish that there was a way in-game to preview mounts, sortof like how you can "try on" cosmetics. Is there a web site that has pictures of all the mounts, by any chance? (Or at least all of the non-festival, ones?) Because I don't generally buy mounts, and one of the reasons is because I don't know what it looks like before I buy it.

So, all that being said, my favorite one right now is the "basic" dark brown one. I bought it because it matches my hair. >.>
It's one of the plain, boring ones that you can ride if you get a ride from the stables in-game. ; D

I was thinking of getting the Mathom one for my Hobbit.

I love my Inn League Mount! It looks great and it carries all the ale and beer an adventurer needs on it's back. The only drawback is it's drinking behaviour, more than once I found at least one of the kegs empty...

(on a serious note: I think the dev's do not like hobbits as much as they should. I mean, why would the stinking ale association goat not have a drinking problem...)

Depends on the toon I am playing since all do not have all mounts hehe...

Favorite: North Council (the real grey horse). This just looks solid everyday, been everywhere but not plain. Just the type of mount a hardy adventurer would ride.

I like the Dusk and Fireworks ones. The Bree (beginner) Steed looks nice too, but its too slow to use.

Since acquiring it, I've ridden nothing except the Nimble Black Goat. With the dragon armor dyed crimson my warden looks perfect on it. Plus; I never see anyone else riding one.

The smokey black Mirkwood horse is awesome too.
