    I can not do UPDATE

    Hello
I did download the LOTRO and installed .. when I go to open "The Lord of the Rings Online", it starts to update, and when the time comes to make the program Update (LOTRO) stops and pops up a windows box to say that Turbine has stopped working.
Anyone know the problem? has a resolution?

    Try this:

    - deactivate your Anti-Vir-Software
    - run it as Administrator

As mentioned before, make sure you are running it with Administrator rights. Also disable any non-essential programs/drivers running on the system. For example maybe you have VMWare player (just picked that out of my hat) running, try exiting that. Or maybe you have Cygwin/X running (again a random pick), exit that. Unfortunately the issue is most likely a conflict with something running on the machine which is preventing it from working, and you just need to do trial and error to find out what it is.

I would focus on a couple of things tho
    1 - Anti-virus
    2 - Anti-spyware/malware
3 - Make sure you do not have any virus or malware
4 - make sure your system is up to date with patches and what not (for the OS itself and video/audio driver)

Sorry I couldn't give you a better answer, haven't done Windows tech support in over 15 years...

You need to tell us what you tried and what is going on before we can help you. Unless you're setting up a full time Webcam and letting us take control of your computer, we don't know what you are seeing.

I don't speak any Portugese but that dialog box says "Turbine Launcher is not working. Windows is searching for a solution..."

What is your primary language, by the way?

I'm Portuguese and I use LOTRO in English.

    I've tried:
    - Windows Update
    - Anti-Virus Update
    - Total Anti-Virus Scanner to PC
    - Uninstall and reinstall the LOTRO
    - Start the program with Administrator
    - I tried to Update the Lotro 10 times, but never got

    Unhappy

Unfortunately the problem is specifically related to your systems configuration (some driver or software, e.g. Daemon tools or other low level types of apps) or it is just corrupted.

Have you tried starting Windows in lean mode: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/331796

Other then that I think you need to contact Turbine support for assistance: http://www.lotro.com/support/

    Sorry
