Hi guys, should I save star lit crystals for level 75 first age or put them on the second age 75? Does it give lesser tact healing rating increase to level 75 first age? Thanks.
Can't answer your second question, because I am saving mine. The answer to your first is: How many of them do you expect to come by? I have the grand total of two so far( they are not that common a drop) so I am reserving mine for the best l75s I can get. I don't intend to buy any from the store (stats and vault spaces are my current weakness, there, mainly because i see NO way to get those, in game), If you do, on the other hand, then by all means tart up your second ager and see what it looks like.
Yes... very limited use for Minstrels
I put 3 on my book for a small boost in Anthem of Composure... but that and increasing dps on solo/dps weapon is about it for usefulness. NOT useful at all on raiding/healing weapons, and very minimally useful on dps books.
I just can't seem to warrant using them on my Minstrel. I've won 5 of them so far, and I gave two away and used the other 3 on my alt Burglar's dagger. If you do use them on your Minstrel, I'd recommend using them on your main healing songbook to boost tactical healing rating just a little bit.

This is what I was coming here to say. If you heal, use them in your book and bump up your tact heal rating. On a second age it goes from +33 to +37.xx (some numbers in that range) with 3 crystals which is only just shy of a 1st age books tact healing. If you want to be cautious go with just one crystal as that would be the largest bump in healing (a few percent).
If you are strictly solo/dps then use at least one on your dps main hand, but only if it's a 75 second age or first age. Quite a waste on a third age at the moment with how easy it is to get a second age.
Do everyone a favor and read your tooltips.

I highly recommend putting them on a second age level 75 healing book if you do healing. It does make quite a bit of difference for your heals. The first three crystals I got went to that and I have 6 level 75 characters with level 75 second ages.
As for waiting for a first age, I don't recommend it unless you actually have one already or know you're going to have one really soon. I say this because the crystals don't increase much on first age items. My kin leader used three of them on a first age burg dagger and the dps increase was really small. The crystals are basically a way to get near first age dps or ratings with a second age item but without the extra points.
I'm not going to say putting them on first age items is useless since they do increase the dps/ratings but the increase is nowhere near as large as you get from putting them on a second age.
Aye, first age book with 3 crystals (level 75) is +40.84 tac heal.
Agree with what others have said - you get more 'bang' from using them on a second age item. And there probably are other classes who may find them of greater overall benefit though turning a second age healing book into close to a base first age in terms of tac heal is still nice in its own way. With Rohan just a few weeks away, and another 10 levels being added to cap, I can't see much point in waiting too long to use them unless you'll be getting a first age fairly soon.

This was the reasoning I did when I put the two crystals I had aquired on my 2nd age healing book since I didn't expect to get my hands on a first age for a long time (if ever). I got my 1st age book three days later ...
Still, with only a (healing) minstrel and a (tanking) warden at level cap, there's not much I could use those crystals for anyway, so if I ever should aquire another one it would probably go on the new healing book again (without making all that much of a difference ).
The things a star-lit crystal will improve are:
...
Target Resist rating (Ballads)
Anthem of Composure (Resistance)
Anthem of Composure (Tactical)
...
I'm still using my old level 60 FA buffbook, and have used three small start-lit crystals on it. While it does now have +3 on the THR it should (I think; didn't write the original down), none of the three mentioned legacies have raised at all, still ranking at 1060, 435 and 435 respectively. Seeing as they are higher on 75 LIs I thought they would be raised. So I'm asking now:
1) Has anyone tested that the legacies in question are raised by the application of a crystal on a level 75 item?
2) Has anyone tested adding crystals on other level 60 FAs? Have the rating-type legacies raised in rating?
3) Has anyone tested adding crystals on a level 60 FA book with these legacies, is it just me who doesn't see the change, could it be because it's one of the old 7-legacied ones?
4) Does anyone know if it is a known bug?
5) Do you think it is an unknown bug that I should possibly report, or intended lack of scaling on smaller-leveled LIs?

Like Stonecrop, I used a small starlit crystal on my lvl 59 buffbook and All Anthem of Composure Legacies (Tactical & Resistance) stayed the same... :-(
I'm not sure if this is a known bug, but I'm pretty sure, that it is a bug....
