Crafting Guild question
I tired posting this in a thread in the crafting forum but I am not getting a response.
I have managed to confuse myself after reading forum threads on the subject.
As I understand crafting guild rep you make the various objects and get rep for them. As you gain ranks of rep in the guild you can make more objects which makes the total rep per day/week go faster.
Something I read made me think you CANNOT max your rep doing this that instead you HAVE to buy something for like 390 TP to max it.
Can rep be maxed by making those objects and using them or do I HAVE to buy something for TP?

Re: Crafting Guild question
If you're VIP, you have access to all crafting guilds and can hit max rep with them without additional purchase.
If you're not VIP, you can purchase crafting guild access in the store.A spaceship from another star / They ask me where all the people are

Re: Crafting Guild question
Um, crafting guild rep tokens is _NOT_ limited by your rank in the guild, but by your crafting tier. In other words, you can be at the lowest guild rank (initiate, iirc) and still craft T7 tokens and turn them in for guild rep, just so long as you have T7 crafting skills.
Also, +rep accelerator stuff from store works with guilds, too, if you are in a hurry and flush with tp/cash.Tiger got to hunt,/ Bird got to fly;

Tiger got to sleep, / Bird got to land,
Man got to tell himself he understand.

Re: Crafting Guild question
But if you don't have craft guild access, your rep will stop visibly increasing at Expert of the Guild, and you'll never reach Master, which is what the question was about.
Rep accelerators are also available for skirmish marks at skirmish camps.
(Guild rep continues to accrue past expert even if you don't have guild access, but you will never earn the higher levels. Once you buy guild access, any earned titles are retroactively granted)A spaceship from another star / They ask me where all the people are

Re: Crafting Guild question
In effect, you hit a glass ceiling for Rep, which can be opened by purchasing with TP.
Another option is to buy VIP for one month, which removes these barriers for that time. Any Crafting Tiers you open during this month stay open permanently. (Not a bad idea to store-up Rep items so you can simply scream up to max Rep once the door is open.)
This also opens MANY other features - Traits, 2 extra item bags, no Gold Cap, etc. Highly recommended (and it's only $10 - support the game, treat yourself!)

Although I would agree that going VIP is a good plan when you are ready to open up alot of stuff The quoted line really bothers me.
A one time one month VIP actually pays LESS to Turbine than I pay buying 1-2 points cards each month. I don't think advocating a one month VIP to "Support the game" is really a fair statement.

To follow with the go VIP for a month plan. I got another questions.
None of my characters are ready to unlock the above expert in the craft guild though one of them will be fair soon.
If I go VIP for one month does the craft guild unlock for all characters in existence during VIP stay after the VIP ends. What I mean is.
It applies immediately to the one that is ready for it. The next character isn't going to be ready for it till after the VIP ends. Will it still be unlocked for her?

No. Not unless you buy craft guild access from the store while you are not VIP. Like quest packs, VIP only rents the permission to advance.
