[EVENT] Muster of the Rohirrim

- This is event in Laurelin server is an initiative of the kin Riders of Riddermark.
- Joining the kin is not a requirement, its not the purpose of this event in general.
- Kins and individuals alike can participate, as long as they stay true to the lore, are not mary-sues (and what not) and stay within logical RP boundaries in general.
- New people to RP are also encouraged to participate, since they will get a chance to practice it to such a scale that they will come out of this knowing a lot more about Role Playing.
- There will be no one-man or one-kin leadership which will force a scenario. The scenario will be dynamic according to the participants' actions. It will consist of a beginning, an end and several story milestones scattered in between. The participants' actions will help shape the overall story. Our intention is to reach Rohan just as the new expansion is released and the in-game area of Rohan is unlocked.
- Kins and individuals not of Rohan heritage also have a part in this. Please contact Aueryll, Creowyn, Eorland, or Eorran in game in order to learn how.
- Those who wish to participate will have to do it in proper RP way. There will be a cryer from the kin Riders of Riddermark inside or outside the Prancing Pony, where you can inquire more info about the event IC'ly and OOC'ly, as well as a mounted patrol which will visit around several areas of Bree Land in order to "recruit" more Rohirrim to the cause.
- No it will not be limited to tavern RP, so oil your swords, sharpen your spears, polish your shields and armor. Its time to prepare for the march home...

Re: [EVENT] Muster of the Rohirrim
Whatever the level, it doesnt matter, you can still join. The Eored will offer lots of things, one among which is training (rp wise) so you will have time to level up until the march begins and until we reach Rohan in september

Participation exceeded our expectations
!!! I would like to thank everyone who participated, but I cant remember all the names
.
I would like to remind you that this event will be on going, so those of you who want more of this and those of you who missed it and want to join, you can always come to the current camp (a field slightly south of Hedgstancers farm).
Every now and then, we will move closer to Rohan. We dont want our journey home to last 5 hours and not know what to do next. For this reason we will take it as slow as we think would be best.
To summarize : Current status of the Eored is that its stationed south of the Hedgestancer's farm, organizing itself, gathering supplies and running patrols on the surrounding area. We will be staying there for some time before we decide to move on (about two weeks)
Temporary officers are: Antlos for the archers, Eorran for the swordsmen and spearmen (or women), and Creowyn of the light cavalry and healers, as well as minstrels who want to uphold the Eored's morale, so if you want to join each of the groups, contact the corresponding temporary officer.
I hope you enjoyed the event as much as we did,
The coordinatig team:
Aueryll
Creowyn
Eorland
Eorran.

Okay, this sounds awesome. I don't even have a character on Laurelin yet, but that's going to change next time I log in. I've been looking forward to Rohan and Rohirric RP, so this is right up my alley. As soon as I'm through the Prologue, I'm going to be reporting to the camp.

That was a fun event indeed, I'm glad I could participate and I hope it can only get better from here. After a long, long break from the game it was very heartening to see RP still going strong on Laurelin

Which reminds me that since its an on-going event until the launch of the RoR, everyone is welcome to come to the Rohirrim camp and participate in the everyday chores (resources, patrols, mend his weapons and armor, interract, meet the Captain, etc)

Also we are currently working on some things that will offer a better feel of Rohan RP. More details coming soon.
PS: Screenies from the event coming soon as well
EDIT: We will be moving the Eored's camp every so many days/weeks (to be determined) so be sure to check the thread for updates.Last edited by Eorran; Jun 26 2012 at 07:30 AM.

Quick question: when are there people out at the camp? I've come out every day since I heard about this, and no one ever seems to be there. Am I just that unlucky?

OOC details:

Thankyou to those of the Muster.
I just wanted to say a collective thank you to those of this event for the roleplay some of the Warband of Imladris encountered last night. It all started from a random task given out to take some things from Thorenhad to Ost Guruth, a good will gesture to Friderick the Elder from Imladris. So when it was discovered that the muster of the Rohirrim was rallying there the chance for some spontaneous role-play could not be passed over.
The feedback I got from members on both sides was very positive, and the interaction going on from the many people there seemed to be enjoyed by I hope everyone. I noticed that a lot seemed to be creating interaction role-play as they travelled/set up camp etc.
It was enjoyable from our perspective to shadow your party to discern your intent, your Captain in Ost Guruth treated the warband scouts with a lot of mistrust
.Thank-you to those of you who were riding as outriders ahead of the column for the interaction along the way.

When I get back from Australia, expect to see a mentally fragile/demented Carlotta somewhere in the Lone Lands/Trollshaws with a ragtag team of ehm.... not completely law-abiding characters.

Please do update when and where you move

I have at least two characters south of Bree and at least one that is just waiting for me to find some RP company to travel with. Would be nice to meet you along the road and share some bread or such

So you are around Thorenhad now?
And exactly how often and how much do you move and RP between your moves.
Is there people RPing every day, or is it just once or a few times/week.. So I know what character to bring

From what i have seen playing the part of the elven perspective from Imladris the muster is active everynight with 6 or more players going about their daily routine in Thorenhad. We have watched them coming and going and they were still there last night.

Members of House Vanimar led by Lady Reiven meet with the scouts of the Warband at the Bruinen Source Ford.

Lady Reiven of House Vanimar speaks with Captain Ceobrand watched on by the rangers of the Warband of Imladris, Aeradin, Killandra and Azgarzir

Captain Ceobrand of the Rohhirm listens to the wisdom of the party from Rivendell consisting of the Rangers from the Warband of Imladris and those from House Vanimar over which road would be best to take them southward to their home.
Its evident to see their supplies are low and they have others that just Rohirrim with them.
Master Glomwick spoke of another way but he could not be pressed to speak further on the matterKhalis - Elven Warder & Captain in the Warband of Imladris

I had a wonderful time up until my computer crashed and I was to tired to wait for everything to restart... (sorry if I caused any confusion with my DC)
Even if Heley is a little bit sceptic, I really enjoyed listen to your banter and the "episode" with the pink dress, was a long time something in a game made me laugh like that, for lauging I did

Some more pictures of events over the last few nights since the Rohirrim reached Thorenhad and their journey to the road leading southward from the Bruinen Ford on the borders of Rivendell.

The Rohirrim later return to their encampment at Thorenhad to prepare for their move southward. They are to be guided by the elves of Rivendell. Below is the image of the Rohirrim speaking with Lord Anglachelm of House Vanimar at the Ford of Bruinen watched on by the Rangers and Elves of the Warband of Imladris.

Lord Anglachelm speaks with Captain Ceobrand of the Rohirrim. The Rohirrim are unhappy with the elf Lord Tagos who escorted them to the Ford, and Lord Anglchelm tries to maintain a peace between the two.
The Ranger Aeradin goes to speak with Kennia one of the Rohirrim over the matter of Abellinda and her lost companion but is quickly encircled by 10 mounted riders who shout for him to remove himself.
A frustrated Aeradin does as requested and returns to the side of his sister in disbelief after the rapport they had built with some of the Rohirrim. Seeing the Rohirrim under escort from some of House Vanimar heading south, Aeradin, Killandra and Eireden remain at the Ford having fulfilled the wishes of the Council of Imladris in seeing the borders secure.
OOC - My thanks to those of the Rohirrim and the others travelling with the party for the rich roleplay i have experienced during this phase of your journey. As a player i have immensely enjoyed roleplaying with the characters involved in this storyline many of whom are played out very well indeed and i hope the Warband brought an unexpected turn of events to your travels from our spontaneous encounter at Ost Guruth which led to our involvement. I hope your future travels are brought out in stories here so i may have the pleasure of seeing how your journey homeward unfolds.
My thanks also to the player of Anglachelm for his warm and welcoming nature and the others of the Vanimar Kinship.
Below are the links to entries the Warband of Imladris have made of our encounters with you all which are on the Laurelin Archives.

Part Two
Part Three
Part Four
Part Five

Part Six
I hope you enjoy my telling of this part of the journey from the perspective of my own character.Last edited by Khalis_Laurelin; Aug 08 2012 at 11:48 AM.
