So Im playing the game as usual when Im suddenly logged out due to being logged in elsewhere. When I go to the Turbine account page to change my info, I cant log in. Password/Log in is incorrect. When I try to hit the "Forgot Your Password" link, and fill out the username to send me an email with my pw, it doesnt send me an email. (Meaning my email was changed).
Ive tried filling out a ticket. Sadly thats going to be "2 Business Days". Customor Support is closed via phone..
Luckily Im STILL logged in on the forums. So this is my last/only act of defence. And hopefully proof later that I actually have had access to my own account when the issue is finally addressed.
any suggestions? And is there any hope of getting it resolved? Ive heard horror stories of people not getting accounts back and I hope this isnt the case. I literally just pre-ordered the expansion recently and hate to feel its more wasted money.
Sadly, I know of some ppl whose accounts were hacked, and I say sadly because of the hack. However, they have gotten almost all of their stuff back when the issue does get resolved. It's hard to believe though that they can hack an account while you are on at the same time. Good luck! I know that Turbine will be helpful. They were with a couple of my friends and the issue was resolved.

I agree with the person above. Just recently, someone on my server, Esisdabomb, was hacked, and she managed to get her character and ranking back. Sadly the person vendored everything in her bags and what was equipped, so she didn't get that back.
Condolences. No help to offer with your current situation, I'm afraid, but in the true spirit of shutting the stable door after horse has bolted:
1/ Draw up a mental list of anyone besides yourself who might have had access to your game password,
and
2/ Devise a stronger password for next time. Not a recognisable word(run together the words of a short phrase?). Use of capitalisation, punctuation and numbers - and in no way connected to any public data like character names.
you must raise a support ticket via the support portal, iirc if you phone they will tell you to raise a ticket via the support portal
when you get your account back check all your toons and items are still there. if any toons are missing you need to raise another ticket. if items are missing from any toons you need to raise a ticket for each toon which has missing items.
