Unhappy my animation is all askew

dear LOTRO - since the last major update, my animation in game play as all patchy, so much so that i am often playing blind so to speak. At the moment am doing craftwork stuff as battling and continuing on with the quest is almost impossible as is fellowships as i cannot see. I took computer into get checked and was told that it was my internet connection, but until this update my animation was fine. Am i able to "repatch" to enable me to play properly? Its very frustrating!

if you start a fight and you freeze then either you or the mob is dead then this is a problem with your internet connection. try rebooting your modem\router

try lowering your texture details down from very high or high down to the next level down ie from high try medium

if your saying your missing animations ie when your fighting only some of the skills animate then you may need to reinstall lotro.

I'd suggest your network card is getting bad ( as mine is doing so right now ), but since you just had the PC checked by specialist, it shouldnt be the case, even if it was most obvious one.

So checking your modem/router now is in order.

If you are playing other games, and they are doing just fine, and only LotRO is acting up, then it may be problem with game data. If you have little of free disk space, when update to game happened, it may corrupt (partially) some data files. Usually Lotro is capable of dealing with such problems, but sometimes bad things manage to happen. You can try do scanning of hard drive for errors, then running full defragmentation of disk, and then check if the problem isnt gone. If it persists, you may have remove game and reinstall.
Try to redownload latest installer from Turbine or Steam, or, if you created game from disks, use these (only use Turbine disks, Codemasters disks dont work anymore, they are just a decoration now).

Thank you, Turbine, for listening and giving us an opt-out of FE! Good work!
