When I go to my.lotro.com, there's a little thing on the left that says "Limited time offer! 12 months for only $99.99!" for my VIP subscription, but when I go in to change my subscription to it, the 12-month special is $118.88.
I'm not saying that $118.88 isn't a good deal. It's still the cheapest if you figure up the monthly cost of VIP, but it's not $99.99 as advertised.
I request that either Turbine changes the advertised price to match what's actually there, or (preferably) change the price to match the advertisement.
Actually this is a well known BUG
LOL if you can call it that....
The Add is correct you can get it for 99.99
You Just have to call Turbine Direct at the Account services Phone Number

This mismatch between what's stated here and on Turbine.com was enough to make me pass on a 1-year sub at the beginning of the month, instead signing up for 3 months of VIP (and unlikely to renew it). So that's at least my $69 the mismatch has cost them.
In general I think the payment system at turbine.com is a little broken and offputting. You can't elect to place a non-recurring sub when purchasing, but instead must subscribe then cancel to avoid automatic debiting. It makes you enter your payment info before seeing any price list for different plans. And as inspired by this thread, its pricing is apparently not easily updated and brought in line with LOTRO promotions.
they list 99.99$ for 12 months, and 29.99$ for 3 months (can't say if they add vat when finalizing the buy though).
That way you won't have to cancel a sub you don't want in the first place.

Be careful, that first turbine link currently says $29.99 for 60 days (2 months). Actually so does the second link. Yesterday when I saw the price list (because applying the Mines of Moria code has a "bug" of its own) on turbine it was as you say; $30 for 3 months. Yet another case where their pricing is unclear and inconsistent
I suppose their time cards are effectively what I'm after with a non-recurring time purchase, I just always thought of gametime cards as ways to give gifts of time and for kids too young/people without credit cards to obtain their game time from a local store. In an electronic payment system with no physical store the whole "card" reference makes zero sense, nor does the need for a code when it's intended for the account you're logged in with.
We have corrected this issue. The $99.99/year price plan is now available. Simply log into myaccount.turbine.com and update your payment plan! If you have recently upgraded to a more expensive yearly price plan, please feel free to contact the Account Support Team and we will provide a refund for the difference of the two plans. Contact details can be found in my signature below.

Any idea when lifetime will be available again, since the Founder agreement says all payment plans (including lifetime) will ALWAYS be available for Founders to switch between?
