Thread: Unlocking riding ability without TP?

I've heard you can unlock riding at level 20, how do you do this please?

Only vips can unlock it without spending TP. It is on a per character basis. you must take the character to Heg's farm north of bree and do a riding quest

Or if you don't want to wait until level 20, I just buy with TP, trot up to the farm and buy a horse right away. Level 6 is the lowest I have bought one at, but why should I wait another 14 levels if I don't need to?

Ah ha thanks! I was hoping to buy a sub tomorrow for the inventory space etc but now I'd better wait untill I have atleast two or three toons up to level 20

Edit: Oh and I don't really want to spend TP because 100 per character seems alot, if it was 500 per account I would consider it. Already have horses from the Mythril edition and steam starter pack so it's just the actual skill I need now lol.

And now I've thought about it further I probably still will buy a sub tomorrow, it just means I have a month to level up some peeps

The run to 20 is pretty quick so it should be no problem. Just do the starter/intro instance then follow the quest lines, they pretty much lead you by the nose.
