All the folks who cried out against injustice should be mollified to learn that Turbine has relented, and add TP to the pre-purchase bundles. I just received this message:

Many players shared how much they appreciated the inclusion of Turbine Points as part of last year's expansion pack offers. We have heard these requests and are now adding bonus points into all tiers of the Pre-purchase packs.
Anyone who has already applied their Rohan key will see points credited directly to their account over the next few business days.
Also, we will be releasing an instance cluster in an update after Rohan launches, and that cluster will be free to all players who have purchased the Riders of Rohan expansion.

On the plus side, I can say I am pleased they did this. The pre-purchase price was pretty steep, and this helps to rectify the situation.
On the down side, there will still be people for whom this is not good enough. To which I politely reply: Payup or shutup; you're not getting any more than this. Your outcry worked, now be happy.

I founded the company of public toilets that you can read an online encyclopaedia whilst you are on it, but had to abort the project as all the domain names for Wikileaks had been taken. /Doh ;-p
Now with these additions, all pre-orders are worth it, even the $70 version, which has now been boosted by $30 in value from Turbine points and instance cluster. Now it is hard to decide which to purchase.
Hope all the people who say Turbine never listens realise this proves that they do not only listen but act upon it too. +rep for Turbine

Turbine listens to their accounts manager, but we always knew this. Let's not pretend they did this because players were unhappy, they did this because their accounts were unhappy, and put a PR spin on it.
When I see them doing things like this *after* getting everybodys money ( IE giving refunds for people who Draigoch doesn't work for, who can't raid due to lag, etc ) I'll believe they do listen and care about players happiness. Until then, it's just PR to cover up poor sales. This doesn't prove that Turbine listen to the players in anyway. It just proves, they are forced to listen to direct sales. If everybody had paid up and complained, there would have been no change.

OT: Nice to hear. Beforehand I had considered purchasing the Basic Edition, but the TP bonus has me seriously considering going for the Legendary Edition. Not sure yet.

I am sure if they were doing it just because of poor sales they would have waited for more than a couple of weeks of a pre order of a product who isn't out for months before changing things.

I was balking for sure in buying the xpac even though I absolutely love this game and want it to be around for years to come. As soon as I get a few extra bucks I will be buying the legendary. Thanks Turbine/WB.
