Discussion: Please help with Lotro Store Free Item of the Week

Hi,

Can someone explain how to get the free item this week - Legendary Item XP tome. My level 50 LM has received his first Legendary items a few weeks ago so I guess it should be available. The problem is I can't find it anywhere in the store, by manually looking through "current sales" or by searching by word eg legendary or tome. Any advises please will be much appreciated. Thanks!

Have you tried to get it when you are on as your LM? I know that I cannot get it when I am on one of my lower level alts..I have no problem getting it that way. Otherwise, not sure what the problem is with it..Hope this helps!

Yes I am logged with my level 50 LM and can't find it.

Because it's a freebie, it isn't an item in the store as such but a coupon - you enter the code at the checkout. I can't remember if you actually need to buy anything to be able to use it (think I've only ever gone for one freebie), but here's a link to the store coupon guide:

You do need to add the item into the cart first, and then add the coupon code during the checkout. If the item isn't in the cart the coupon will be seen as invalid. Similar to coupons you use at the grocery store (for example) the clerk has to ring up the item the coupon is for before they can apply the coupon to it. Besides navigating to where it is (which is challenging at times, especially if you don't know where it may be) you can do a search for the item to find it.

Have you finished the quests that give you access to Moria, or are you still doing the "level your weapon to 10, then reforge" type quests for your LI? It may be tied to that.

Thanks I can confirm this is correct. The problem I have is finding the item in the store. I've tried all kinds of searches and can't get it. I'm currently in Moria - still doesn't work from there.

If you can't see it in the store, you can't buy it.

I just looked. It's minimum level 51. Gain one level and look again.

Thanks !!! I'm not sure why its min Level 51 though, seeing as I have been using Legendary items for a while now. Will hopefully try this later today! It's a shame that the store sale page does not say minimum level 51, as it would have saved me and all those who have helped an awful lot of bother. Thanks again :]
