    Off the Topic

Any Elindilmites out there been following the NBA playoffs?

With the NBA finals series tied at 1-1 going back to Miami for games 3 and 4, I am currently predicting OKC to win over all in 7.

Game 1: OKC 105 : Miami 104 OKC was hyped up after beating a seasoned, playoff-hardened San Antonio Spurs, made a great comback in the 4th qtr to win. Besides the exemplary performance by KD, the MVP of that game in my mind was Thabo Sefolosha, as he did a wonderful job shutting down Lebron at the times it mattered most. Dwayne Wade was somewhat passive with 19 points on 7/19 FG with minor sparks of life here and there but is not getting to the FT line like he typically does. Russel Westbrook had a great game numbers wise with 27 points and 11 assists but on 10/24 FG shooting.

Game 2: Miami 100: OKC 96 Miami adjusted well to Coach Scott Brooks defensive scheme. Lebron and Dwayne for Miami and KD, James Hardin for OKC had excellent games. Once again Westbrook had a great game stats wise with the exception of 10/26 on shooting from the field. Stephen A Smith, ESPN commented that he is playing terribly as a point guard as he appears to be trying to be the superstar of the team and not working as a playmaker as a classic point guard does. I have mixed feelings on this. Russel Westbrook is not a developed point guard but a natural 2-guard. I agree with Smith as OKC really needs Westbrook to be a support player/distributor/playmaker as all he needs to do is penetrate/pick-roll and create opportunities for his teammates, especially with KD who is unarguably the best basketball player on this Earth. I do not however feel Westbrook is playing horribly as Smith is projecting as you can't argue with numbers.

Is Russel taking to many shot attempts in the game? Sure he is... he is 20/50 (40%) from the field in the finals thus to date. I think between having Scottie Brooks and Mo' Cheeks as coaches, they are gonna make a minor adjustment with Westbrook.

OKC will win in game 7. They need Westbrook to play more as a floor general and feed the awesomeness of Kevin Durant.

    What are your thoughts?

    Edit:
I am pretty certain Miami will ride their high off of game to to pick up the win in game 3 in Miami. They will become complacent in game 4 and get hammered for it. OKC will win games 4 and 5 making it do-or-die for Miami bringing game 6 back to OKC. Miami, more so than ever, James and Coach Spostra will be desparate and pull off a close one game 6. OKC will gang-bang em game 7 for the win.
