Thread: The Courageous Farmhands - Level 7 brigand standing next to body much of the time!

This is at a time where most characters are level 4, with only a few pieces of armor that give much defense. Being level 7 itself is unusual, as most mobs you fight in the opener do not even get that high in level, and this one turns up in a key quest location when your character has a very good chance of dying if you do try to fight him. And he is placed close enough to Walt Wheately's body that it is impossible to inch up close enough to click on the body without aggroing the brigand.

He is not always there, but seems to be there at least 75% of the time. The placement is deliberate, and he does not budge from that spot when he spawns there.

I realize this is the quest that replaced the much missed Bloodtusk one, but that is no excuse to put a mob there that is almost twice the level of a character doing this quest.

I did a bug report on this situation almost half a year ago. And the mob is still there. I just did another bug report recently again. It would take very little time to remove this mob from right next to the farmhand's body.

If you do the Archet opener with any characters and see this mob there, please do a bug report as well. Maybe if enough players report it, they might move the mob farther away from the quest body.

Yeah , I just about died there on my new hobbit burglar yesterday . Talking about some quick moving , and hollering as I ran away almost dead , I want to get the undying title , and almost blew it in the starter area , from this one quest chain you mention,,,,, Glad I was on my toes, and had the escape button handy .....

You are probably trying to rush through the intro too fast. Slow down, don't fellow up, grind a few mobs to gain experience. You need to be about level 7 or even 8 to get all the skills available from your intro level trainers.

While you can join a fellowship during the intro, all members split the experience points, so you do not gain experience as fast as a solo player will. In the early stages of the game, you need ever experience point you can get, so you can level up and learn the skills you need.

If you solo, you will be at the right level when you complete the intro. If you are much lower than level 6 when you finish the into, you will get slammed, as there will be few on-level mobs and quests for you.
