Thread: Expension pack sales

When I have enough TP I want to get the Moria expension pack (2495 TP currently)
But I don't BUY much. Cause I want to play the FREE-to-play game.

So I'm wondering: do these sales still happen? (20% or even 50%) I rather like the 50% ;p
And how long can it takes before they come?
I mean not only for the new content. But also for old expensions.

Cause I'm willing to wait a few weeks/months. But then I want to be sure that I can get them with my points I got from my deeds.

The Mines of Moria expansion (not just the quest pack) has been on sale in the LOTRO Store at least once before, for 20% off (1996 TP) in February 2011.

It's impossible to predict when or if this might happen again.

You might also be able to purchase it during one of the "Determine Your Discount" sales, where your entire cart is discounted by up to 30%, depending on how much you spend.

There was such sale until yesterday (but I'm a bit busy with my exams, and only taking a short break today)
So I guess it will take a wile untile that happens again.

But should I take the first sale (even if it's only 20%)
Or is it better to wait until a big 50% sale.

I guess I wait for a while, and see wat happens.
I can't do anything else atm (exams, start of the vacation, ...)

This is a coupon deal: if your cart totals 1000 TP or more, you can use a certain 10%-off coupon; if 2500 TP or more, a 30%-off coupon; etc. They do occasionally vary the minimum points required so be sure to read the fine print.

If I were you, I'd wait for a 30% off deal (coupon or direct sale) to pick up the expansion bundles. It's always possible (if unlikely) that a great sale will happen while you're waiting for the next 30% coupon to come around, but I think the 30% off deals are regular enough that it's worth waiting for them rather than getting a lower discount. If you see a better deal than 30% off, grab it.

If your patience wears out, you can always use the once-per-account DEMOCOUPON code to get 5% off.

I still have my Democoupon. But I'm willing to get more expensions, so when I have time to play again. I guess I just get some more TP. Then I can use the next 30% cart sale with 2 expensions at once (If there isn't a better sale)
