Ideas for the other 2 "experimental" skills for ROR.
Keeping within the spirit of the brilliant "experiment" that is fellow DF, do you have any other super-cool ideas for the other 2 skills we can have for ROR.
Careful now we only have 2 more skills, make sure they count.
Along with the fellow DF I would like to see these other really useful improvements:
Improved Cry of the Predator - extended to include crawlers, norbrogs & squirrels, but not spiders that would be OP.
Improved Hunters Art - your raised arm heralds a tiny whirlwind which can ruffle the bristles on the snouts of your foes.

Agile Rejoinder gives double the health but increases threat 300% for the next 5 minutes.
Beneath Notice gives +3 stealth but disables all induction shots.

Or MAYBE hunters are already a versatile class with the best sustained single target dps in the game and excellent burst dps for PvP that don't need much attention? Hurr durr.

1) Improved Travel Skills: 'Travel to' skills updated to now be inclusive in a random selection. Every time you use a travel skill, it will automatically choose a different travel skill at random. You wanted to go to Moria at level 20 when you only have two ports? Now you can!
2) Improved Improved Strength of the Earth: This skill will now heal through a duration of 3 pulses, no longer 4.

Improved Improved Swift Bow: Now only fires one arrow for one very large hit after a 3 second induction. (renamed to Slow Bow)
Improved Rain of Arrows: Damage only effects a single target in AOE at random, but can still break all CCs within the area of effect.
Improved Strength of the Earth: Now requires you to channel for 20 seconds. Costs 200 power to use and restores 50 power every 4 seconds for 20 seconds.
Improved Split Shot: Fires three arrows into a narrow (2.5m) AOE for a weak base damage amount, with damage divided by number of targets hit (up to 6, but will only effect up to three targets, because there are only three arrows. REALISM).

True, it was meant to be 5 pulses, and if I was Turbine, I would have said 5. Shame they never bothered to fix such a simple fault. The least they could have done is correct the description to state 4 pulses instead of 5.

Improved Campfire.........now affects all players/npc's/mobs in a 50m radius with Toast Marshmallow emote
ex. all players/npc's/mobs will sit around the campfire toasting & eating marshmallows "om nom nom "
Improved Hunter's Art..............in addition to it's normal effects the player will now emote "PEW PEW" when his/her arm is raised for the animation

improved heartseeker - added realism as it now actually aims for the closest heart, instantly killing them. Unfortunately your heart is the closest so you instantly kill yourself. The yellow crosshairs are also 2x larger and flash different colours.
Hunters art renamed to "hunters tart" - The hunter uses the flame in the animation to quickly bake a delicious tart, throwing it at the enemy and healing it for 2999 morale (3000 was considered to OP)

Improved Endurance Stance - (since who uses precision and strength stance anyways??????) You must perform one /dance emote per skill usage, which will allow you to evade 5% more attacks, however it removes the -10% perceived threat since your dance skills are so amazing.
Improved Distracting Shot - Instead of a flash of light in the mob's face, you fire a photoshopped picture of the area around him with no players in it, making him confused and knocked out of the fight! However, most mobs are great at detecting photoshopped pics, as this is the internet and they've seen quite a number of shoops in their time, so the daze only lasts 5s (15s for trapper traited OF COURSE!!!)

Improved Desperate Flight- Not only will it transport your entire group with you, but it will immediately remove you from the fellowship and log you off in order to avoid awkward conversations about why you have the skill on your bar.
Improved Heartseeker- Now a 5 second channel; all damage will occur during the 5th pulse.

Improved Focus - Now immune to induction set-back and improves in-combat power and morale regen by 100% while channel is active. Focus generation effect is now fellowship-wide.
Improved Bright Campfire - Campfire is now a mobile device that follows the hunter around. Colour of flame now changes based on stance. Campfire can now be renamed.
Improved Penetrating Shot - Now knocks back target by 5m on critical and 10m on devastating critical.

No no, you see, this is where we come to kick around craptastic ideas like Fellowship-wide DF. The whole "Lets be creative and post awesome ideas" ship already sailed.
Yes, the Improved (Improved!) Pen Shot idea is awesome

Improved Dazing Shot -- Now has a +500% miss chance, since the light is so blinding it blinds you as well.
Improved Blindside -- Animation is now 3x as long, since it takes a while to distract an enemy. Interrupt has been removed, since we already have CC to do interrupts.
Improved Press Onwards -- Now only heals 300 power, CD is twice as long, and costs 1,500 morale. But don't worry, there's a new LI legacy to reduce this morale cost.

Improved Blood Arrow - This skill can only be used twice since it requires you to slit your wrist on each use. Also adds a -1,000 morale pulse on you every 3s until you die.
Improved Barbed Arrow - This skill will now ricochet off of an enemy and deal damage to you instead.

I liked the other suggestion for an Improved Heartseeker with flashing colors, but that may be a little OP.
Improved Heartseeker: Crosshairs now flash multiple high-visibility colors with a bright arrow pointing in the direction of the nearest sight obstruction. The hunter using the skill also begins glowing brightly, as well as being covered in electrical currents and exclamation points with the words, "Over 9,000" floating above their head.
Improved Purge Poison: Can now be used on the enemy, because kindness has no affiliation.
Improved Rain of Arrows: Added realism in the way that the arrows no longer fall on top of the enemy, but go straight up in the air and return straight back down to the user, as gravity intended.

lvl 85 skill: Super-extra-imroved Burn hot : you set yourself on fire and then peform /dance_hobbit as you burn. applies "burning" effect, gives -4000morale every 1 second. fellowship memebers within 20m will recive "burning" effect. makes all members immune to rezes when defeated. adds +10 dread effect when retreated.
this has been implemented to blance off the extree OPness of hunters Burn Hot skill. we hope this change will make it something that requires the hunter to make a sacrifce.
lvl 77 skill: no concentration: replaces intent concentration. applies max tier "drunk" effect and removes all focus, allows one inductionless HS that has a 10% chance to hit your target and 90% chance to insa kill one of your fellowship members (this was disigned to add a difficulty aspect by having a high chance to kill the tank.
We think hunter diserve more than this though, so we are giving 2 BONUS skills... we hope you are very greatful for our extra effort.
lvl 76 improved HS: is now a self targeted skill that will instantly kill you
lvl 80 skill: Super improved Pen shot: can only target other players.
we hope this sends a clear message that we the devs have not forgotten the hunter class!

Improved Swift-stroke : Increases not only parry chance but also block rating. Because of such advantage, drains power for the whole duration of the buff.
Improved Set Snare : The bleed effect does 50% more damage, but using Set snare will put every other trap skill/trap item on 5min cd.

1) Very improved Desperate flight: From being so desperate to evade the enemy, you jump off the nearest cliff with your fellowship, destroying all your weapons and killing you as would happen in reality.
2)Improved campfire: Now has 99% chance to generate a thick black fog that will choke you and anyone around you in a 1000m radius and eventually burn everyone to death (I told you not to use those ominous looking branches you got in that dark alley from that badly disguised orc!)

Although this is a troll post and this is a troll thread(and a funny one too )what if we could use shileds while using crossbows?With reduced damage since we would be shooting with only one hand(err you can do that with a crossbow right?Light shields with proper stats,some morale some agi,evade,parry and mits for defence.Maybe it would help a bit with survivabillity.
Well ok probably a total fail idea,but I wanted to say it.Besides crossbows are ugly(imho)

Introducing new "Witch-hunter" trait line with dual-wielding crossbows or shields (for the more tanky amongst us).

In response to player requests for more specialisation across the different races of the Free Peoples, we have introduced the following new variants of Desperate Flight;
Desperate Flight of the Eldar - your DF skill now instantly ports you to the Undying Lands, from where there can be no returning.
Desperate Flight of the Dwarves - Activating this skill allows one of your fellowship to throw you at the enemy, causing up to 20 foes in a 10m radius to be rooted for 5s by hysterical laughter before beating you into the dirt. This skill may also be activated by the leader of your fellowship. We are confident that this skill will dramatically increase the usefulness and utility that the hunter brings to groups.
Desperate Flight of the Hobbits - quickly consuming one of Farmer Maggot's 'special' mushrooms, your hunter will believe that he or she can actually fly, causing them to leap from the nearest cliff.
As an added bonus, we will also be enabling all three of these exciting new abilities for PvMP.
It's our way of saying 'thank-you' to all you hunters who have stuck it out through some difficult times.

This thread is so epic i cant stop laughing. Many great troll ideas.
Just be careful that you don't make these ideas to epic because turbine might decide to use them just so they have something to laugh at whenever they come to work. Obvious troll is obvious... well in most peoples cases....

I can't decide if this is in the Troll theme or not. Definitely been on some PUGs where I'd have just about killed for this skill.
Here is my go:
lvl 77 - Ultra improved Desperate Flight: Instantly transports your toon into chicken session play, but in the exact spot where you are standing as a toon. In the moors, it adds +600% bonus for "getting the chicken". The suprime version at 85 does this for the whole fellowship.
lvl 80 - Bonfire: In addition to normal campfire effects, the warmth and light attract all landscape mobs in a 1000m radius and generates swarms of stinging insects for a cumulative damage effect of 1hp per second per second and a 50% slow on attacks. But you can still make trail food with an additional +.01% crit chance.
We decided that Split Shot should be more similar to its name - and we heard your complaints about threat management. Therefore, with this update each arrow creates splinters that enrage your opponent and make him ignore aggro table completely.
lv 86 - Ultimate Strenght of the Earth - it restores 1000 morale and power and 1 focus per tick, reduces your threat by moderate amount, cannot be interrupted and upon completion bestows Improved Focus buff if traited properly, we even restored 5th tick. There, you happy now? Absolutely no reason to complain about this skill.
