    A Returning Linewarden

Hey, all! I'm back, after a relatively long break from lotro. I'm trying to get back into wardenplay but I'm not sure if it's worth it.

What has changed since the outset of U6? Is anything more effective/less effective? Is EoB still stupidly overpowered threatwise? What are the best rotations, and how have they changed over the months?

It's good to be back :3

    P.S. No Krackus allowed.

    Warden Mechanics suggestion: Battle Aura.

I'm planning on coming back this fall for a bit. I logged on yesterday, looked at my buttons and realized I had no idea what I was doing. I logged off. I'm sure I'll figure it out, and stick to harperella's gambit rotations at first, just to be safe.

    Returning too.

Seems like a lot of folks are returning these days. Quite excited to be returning to my Warden as well, after some Rift and SWTOR.

I'm working my way up (just got 39) and focusing on my deed/virtue situation. Most of you highers recommend working on the resistances? I figured since Vit was on a lot of gear I ought to get my resistances (Phys, Tac...etc) from Virtues?

Am I off base on this?

These are the two threads that helped me the most when I got back into the game:

    Asto's Gambit Compendium [Warning: Comprehensive]

    Harp's U6 Warden Rotations

Also a reminder to check the trainers to see if you need to re-buy any of your gambits.

Hey guys and welcome back to wardenhood! Its always good to see some faces i took advice from in my noobier days. First things first.. Tanking is for determination only. EoB does not give ridiculous amounts of threat like it did right after the update, but its still our most powerful tool. In fact.. Many easier fights can be won by only spamming EoB. First things first... As we established EoB is pretty powerful. Unless im worried about breaking CC i never really use anything else (other than leaches) for threat management. Battle Prep some basic defenses like Shield mastery and DoW. Then frontload EoB and start the threatgen. After a few of these (battle memory spamming EoB helps alot here too) build up all the defense you can. The fi-sh line now boosts evade and the sh-fi line builds crit defense and mitigation (other than conviction). Once all your defenses are up they are easy to keep since they can be refreshed. Dont forget to spam heals as often as possible too. The sh-sp heal line grants more block bonus and in the tanking ToO set gives off +inc heals as well. Pretty powerful line if your block isnt capped (but block is easy to cap so prolly no worries here).

Ill let others handle the DPS side of things since i hate running dps but this is a pretty general tanking view. It can get as detailed as you want it to be but a personal flair must be built into all of it. btw trait DC now. Its the best panic button ever made now that its a clicky.

Love both of those links. Really very helpful. The biggest problem with returning is figuring out what info is the most up-to-date...

I actually returned to my warden about a week ago?
And idk, from U6 iv'e seen only positive fixes, EOB isn't epicly overpowered anymore, but a good mix of SOD, SOV and EOB can create massive amounts of threat, however i still prefer some good aggresions, why outaggro people when i can use their aggro?

Defiant challenge cooldown reduced to 3M 30S, can go to 2M 30S with a legacy, fixed the issue where it didn't give a -40% incomming damage buff, now it says +40% physical and tactical mitigation buff for 30S.
With some tests i see this is very true, with said buff on i'm quite indestructable.....
A test tough not T2 allowed me to surive the third pull of F&F having all NPC's on me and nothing was CC'd, so i'd say were back in the game....
