A word about the Riders of Rohan Pre-Purchase packs.
As most of you know, last week we launched the Riders of Rohan pre-purchase program. While initial sales have been strong and overall response has been positive, we have been paying very close attention to feedback from our community, where some concerns have been raised.
First, many of you shared how much you appreciated the inclusion of Turbine Points as part of last year’s offers. While we believe that the Rohan packs already offer an excellent value, we’ve heard your request and are now adding bonus points into all tiers of the Pre-purchase packs!
The updated editions will now include:
Base Edition: 1,000 Bonus Turbine Points
Heroic Edition: 1,000 Bonus Turbine Points
Legendary Edition: 2,000 Bonus Turbine Points
Are you one of the many players who already purchased Riders of Rohan? You get points too! Anyone who has already applied their Rohan key will see points credited directly to their account over the next few business days. You will not need to contact customer service to receive your points. They will be granted automatically.
Additionally, some players had questions about the instance cluster coming after the launch of RoR. While we are still not ready to talk about the details of the cluster we did want to confirm that we will be releasing a new instance cluster in an update after Rohan launches, and that the cluster will be free to all players who have purchased the Riders of Rohan expansion.
Thanks to everyone for your candid feedback about the pre-purchase offers and the Rohan expansion. At Turbine we have always made it a point to listen closely to our players and adjust when necessary to provide the best possible entertainment experience.
Note: There are a large number of accounts that will be receiving a points credit as part of this change. Please allow 3-5 business days for your points to arrive.

Thank you for listening and responding to your customers! It may have been a mistake to begin with, but you listened and responded and that means a lot to the community!
Re: A word about the Riders of Rohan Pre-Purchase packs.
Hurray! Thank you for listening, thank you for answering and thank you for adjusting the offer! For me (I don't know about other old grumps because there's always those that are much grumpier than me. though I doubt older), but for me this really sets the record straight and my confidence in Turbine has been restored.

This is excellent news, Sapience. I think this will go a long way in showing the players that Turbine cares and that it listens to the community. I've already purchased my expansion, so I can't wait to see those TP's rolling in. Thank you!
Re: A word about the Riders of Rohan Pre-Purchase packs.
Thanks so much for listening to the community. Big thumbs up!
Now just do us one favour...promise not to repeat the same mistake when the next expansion comes along, I think we'll all be much happier that way.

Thank you for clarifying that it actually is considered part of the expansion now (it explicitly was not before). Your OP didn't make that clear.

After reading this I no longer think "if" I will buy the expansion, rather I think "when" will I buy the expansion. Thank you for bringing light during the darkest hours, Sapience.
Re: A word about the Riders of Rohan Pre-Purchase packs.
As I have just alt-tabbed out of LotRO to wait for my alt lvl 30 LM to craft his 40 something bags of pipe-weed, I hit facebook and saw the post with the link to this forum from the facebook page.
I'd like to just make a point; I have been playing LotRO since late 2009, just after the release of the Mines of Moria expansion pack. I stopped playing for a while for various reasons, but got stuck back in and resubscribed to the game just after it went F2P. One of the things I've noticed is quite a large group of people taking every opportunity to criticise and put down either the developers or the Turbine team in general.
I for one started playing this game because of a love of Tolkien's fantasy world, and in the 3 years that I've been playing I don't think Codemasters or Turbine have put a foot wrong in recreating it. After all, everyone obviously has a different opinion and imagination of what Tolkien's world would be like, but for a company to design a game to allow us to walk around a depiction of it, I think, is an enormous gratification.
My point is that although Turbine put a lot of products in the store for people to purchase, they are still a business and they need to make money. Making the game free-to-play would've obviously decreased their revenue so they had to get it from another source. I'd like to ask the certain people who do moan about each slight thing that Turbine do that they see as "wrong" to just consider that not everyone can be pleased, and to try and find advantageous factors about changes that are made because I, for one, can find many.
Re: A word about the Riders of Rohan Pre-Purchase packs.
Thanks, Turbine. You just earned back my support as well.
Not all those who wander are lost. They might be working on one of their exploration deeds.
The new forums stink on ice. Let others follow them who can.

This looks great and sounds like a good deal but I can't get it gotta save up some money first if anyone could tell me when the pre-purchase runs out that'll be great

Re: A word about the Riders of Rohan Pre-Purchase packs.
Turbine is now semi-awesome again. Now a few things:
Group DF: ROFLMAO. Please never include this. Ever. In your life.
The Moors: If you have an update, please tell us, and don't make it a surprise, many people have left/are leaving for GW2, and if you have some uber update for the Moors, please say so. I know people will say there's no point in asking, but since I haven't been PvPing for long, I still have a very small bit of faith in Turbine... A teeny bit. A very itsy bitsy teeny bit.
