Wow, I really am a Laurelin noob if I'm asking this :P But, here we go *sighs*
I used to play on Landroval so I know what Weatherstock is (phew) but I was on the Laurelin Archives today and I saw an event for it. So, question: do we have it too? Or, if not, how does it work?
Thanks for putting up with my many question heh.
Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread.
People create Alts on the Landroval server to take part in the concert. I'm not playing but will support our band the 'Strollers' from the Shire with my Alt. I even got to use my same name which was a bonus, so may see you at the concert.
An event at the massive scala that Weatherstock have grown to be is only on Landroval
I am afraid, but there are other events that are quite good.
We in 'The Chosen Few' started up a new event last year called "Archet Aid" that is a
solidarity concert with the farmers of Archet. They got their little village burned down to the
ground and the best we could do was to put the spotlight on the horrific tradgedy with
a combined musical 'cry of help' to the local authorities.... doesnt seem like it has helped much though
For more info and pics of the event, take a look at this link http://grymrock.wordpress.com/from-t...untain-i-came/
We are puttin it up again this year, and if ya are interested in helping out or have cool ideas
around it, please send me an email to grymrock@gmail.com.
Then ya also got weekly happenings like Green Dragon Friday (hobbits), Ales and Tales (dwarfs), Hall of Fire (elves). Guess other here are better suited to tell ya about those than me though.
Weatherstock is a big event and requires a lot of organising and 'behind the scenes' activity. This is handled by the Lonely Mountain Band, which is a big kinship. I doubt there is any kinship on Laurelin which would have the size and inclination to copy it. Consider, for example, the 'Security team' - a dozen or so LMB kin who are prepared to devote as much as 6 hours perhaps, to seeing spectators are not harassed by monsters en route to the venue, or disturbed while watching the fun.
So let's be thankful that Weatherstock takes place at all, and cheerfully make our alts so we can go and participate!
