Re: Official Class Update and Feedback
Hunter - travel skills sooner - MORE travel locations - Desperate Flight should take the entire fellowship.
Since I did not give nine suggestions, of the three I gave, the one I'd most love to see implemented is Desperate Flight including the entire fellowship. Let me bring all my friends to safety!

yerp.... the devs just look at the first post by hunter and decide its a good idea... nice in-depth serching on your feedback page turblind!
they took it from the first post without looking at anything else. i wonder if they even read any of the other hunter suggestions?
they took it from a person with 8 posts.....
they took something without even deciding if the rest of the hunter community agree'd with it...
GIVE EM A BIG ROUND OF APPLUSE!
sorry eoburn just had to use it.. worked too well heh

Re: "fellowship DF idea" source found.
All I can say is...LOL. Thanks for the link, I forgot to check back there if the desperate flight suggestions was ever suggested, but to my unknowing surprise, Turbine only had a look at the first post. I remember I wrote a fairly detailed post asking for more relative improvments, not once did I ask for additions to porting or desperate flight...the horror.
Guild Wars 2 looks fun.

Feel free to use any GIFs I post here, as they are not a licensed nor trademarked product of Eoburn Inc. Ltd.
That being said...
A standing ovation for the devs, their eternal blind-eye to Hunter problems, and the fact that they ACTUALLY MADE DF FELLOWSHIP WIDE INSTEAD OF FOCUSING ON SOMETHING ELSE.

Re: "fellowship DF idea" source found.
I dont know why you guys have so much hate for the idea, its a fantastic one, the best one ive ever seen for the hunter class.

(sarcasm)
But I'd rather wait to see how it turns out, maybe hunters get a major revamp at RoR. dont exclude that.Last edited by Witch0King; Jun 14 2012 at 04:35 PM.

Re: "fellowship DF idea" source found.
dude, if you want to be a BA, roll one. I dont want any cd on punctured target, I want a melee daze independent of crit. I want a range skill which fears/daze. Do I get it? no, Do I whine about it? no. I dont want my hunter to be a BA as much as I dont want my BA to be a hunter. If you think a creep class got it easier you need to take off your freep goggles.

You are ill-equipped to venture into Moria!

Re: "fellowship DF idea" source found.
just sayin... you got what we asked for... and needed more than you. no freep goggles here... just observations.
OK so you cant beat minis in 1v1... who can?
it seems your looking at this though your creep goggles... take them off and see:
you got a stance that you completly didnt need to be effective (and now launches BAs up there with the wargs in power scale) that was suggested on the hunter forums
you got 40% slow triple snare usable on the move, again something the hunters asked for...
you got knock down on your headshot... again something hunters asked for...
you got a solid insta heal (derived from the old uruk heal)... again... something hunters ask for ans still ask for.
its obvious you dont want hunter to be BA... because you dont have one. you just eat hunters for the commns and burp...
play a hunter to 75, try to get good gear, and have your dreams for mild effectivness in PVP over 5 years crushed when your creep equivlent gets it even when they didnt need it...
take off your creep goggles, this be the hunter forums.
for trollin, there be the creep forums.

Re: "fellowship DF idea" source found.
Makes me wonder how long it will take before the hunter who suggested DF as groupskill gets chased down by an angry mob of fellow hunters.
I guess the next suggestion should be a hound pet for hunter that does nothing other than pulling additional mobs during battle. Anybody support? (please note that this is NOT a suggestion but only a joke)Duskdancer, warg: If found please return to Gwairin, lvl 65 hunter in Evernight

Re: "fellowship DF idea" source found.
1. Group DF - Lame
2. Effective is a relative term. BA's were effective before when we could plant our feet and pew pew. I managed R12 with that play-style, so it wasn't unplayable just situational. Until Skirm Stance, BAs were in large amounts of trouble if ANYTHING was hitting us or a melee got into range. Ever try to induct skills in normal stance with an RK zapping you? Doesn't work well... IMO It was very much a needed change to the BA. Hunters can go blue-line and trait fleetness, granted it does not make all Hunter skills instant (just like skirm stance does not make them all instant for the BA), but at least Hunters keep do not suffer a range reduction nor a Skill damage reduction (other than the trait setup reduction).
3. BAs got the Headshot trait years ago..many years when the Rank based class traits came out. Until those traits became gated, it wasn't even close to an issue for anyone because only a few servers had BAs hitting those ranks. I honestly don't consider it over powered at all due to the crit %. Consider that BA's crit chance is not even remotely close to a hunter's, essentially they have a maybe CC skill that essentially is just used for damage and if it KDs..great. I've personally cycled through 10 head-shots with no KD...I'd take bards, RoT or distracting....or all three any day. CC is definitely not something hunters are lacking.
4. Admittedly the snare skill is pretty sweet, but for the most part we just use it as a bleed. Already have a decent snare on a fast CD, which you need to have applied for one of our skills to hit hard btw. I will say it's ultra useful on Burgs since with TnG up it's hard to land a hinder. I'd honestly rather have the variety of traps Hunters have in Combat. But trapping overall if you include firetrap, BAs have the better situation no doubt. It's really too bad the Trapper trait line is so pathetic.
5. The new Uruk heal is pretty great, although 3k is only one good pen shot and an auto attack or a swiftbow. Don't get me wrong, i'd love to have a 3k heal on a fast CD on my Hunter, but the classes are not mirrors and Hunters are just not in as bad a spot as people make out overall. Maybe a legacy to improve PO induction time? I truly hate stopping and inducting that skill in the moors...it's like putting a plate out with sandwich and a side of hunter-shaped warg treats out there. CD is now fine for the PO skill though and I can live with the Power and Moral levels...just scary to use the skill and it's tricky to use in combat unless a creep isn't fear potting.
Please keep in mind I've played both a Hunter and BA from SoA until now (I missed Moria entirely) and the Hunter is just not as useless as everyone keeps saying. I think the major issue is that the other freep classes are in such great spots, it makes the hunter look like the runt of the litter scrambling for scraps. By no means am I great hunter or even what I'd call a good Hunter. I just don't have the time put in to be there yet, but I can see even from my standpoint that it's fine for the most part.
Without a doubt there are many situations that do not benefit a hunter, but many people don't leverage the strengths of the class to be as effective as they could be. You can turn a BA into an ineffective lump of pixels if you play it wrong or throw it into the wrong situations. Just keep in mind the BA class needed some type of mobile stance or skill like Needful haste, MT was the only thing they had to prevent damage from setting back every skill except NYD. Stand somewhere on your hunter with no NH up and just try to induct SB and Barbed over and over while creeps are hitting you....doesn't work well and that's what the BA was. Tell me you stand there with a reaver hitting you and spin in circles using, quickshot, barbed and swift bow only....Now, since you're going to say you don't do that, ask yourself why not...then you'll understand BA play prior to Skirm stance and understand why they got it.
My poorly geared hunter can destroy creeps if I get a focus buff jump on them, the damage output over the first 30 seconds is insane. A hunter friend and I spent last night roaming the moors blowing creeps up. We died several times when we got outfought or overwhelmed by zergs. But we had no issues, stayed mobile, hit and run, picked our fights, etc... Without a doubt the biggest issue was the wargs (is the tracking trait broken btw? we track, [one warg on the list] then four wargs nom us two seconds later)
I'd personally like to see a Fleetness legacy to extend duration or possibly increase pip generation rate, IMO that's the only major change hunters need. That needs to be on the melee weapon btw. I'll dump a stat leg for that
