    RunDLL "Error loading -text"

    Been getting a problem with the game's launcher for a few months now. I haven't been able to login since a certain patch around perhaps March or April (not entirely sure). However, whenever the game begins to update the launcher gets to "Update Programs" and comes to a complete stop -- a RunDLL error pop-up window appears and says "error loading -text" and "The specific module could not be found." A pop-up for the launcher also appears claiming it will restart and begins counting down. It basically closes and never restarts -- view screen shot for a better look!

    I've tried reinstalling the game and searched everywhere for what the error -text exactly is but have been very unsuccessful in my endeavors! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    try right clicking the lotro shortcut on your desktop and select properties
    on the shortcut tab check the target line, click to place the cursor in the box then use the right arrow to scroll to the end of the line, the line should end with turbinelauncher.exe" or turbineinvoker.exe" if there is any text after the " delete it. then click apply and ok

    if that dosent resolve the problem try browsing to your lotro install folder and running turbinelauncher and turbineinvoker exes from there

    failing that please post your launcher log, see here for details of how and where to find the log file

    Thanks for the reply! I tried the methods you talked about, unfortunately they both did not work I also failed to mention that I had actually downloaded LOTRO off of Steam -- though, I uninstalled it last night and reinstalled using the website's installer, still got the same "error loading -text" problem. However, I noticed two strange pop-ups appear right before the launcher initialized after a fresh install. They may have something to do with the problem (launcher logs will be posted in a following reply).

    Perhaps these have something to do with it?! I'm a giant noob at this so I'm not sure if these were normal or not. They seem to correlate with the final few lines of the launcher log right before the crash. Incoming...
