So earlier today I made my first purchase (using a friends credit card) for 600 points. Got my points, spent them, then decided to buy another 600. My friend let me, so I purchased another 600 points. Problem is, that was 4 hours ago and I still haven't received them. Is this normal for it to take this long to receive the points I bought?
I've never bought points myself but my understanding is that it should happen fairly quickly...within minutes to a few hours. It kinda depends on how long it takes the charge to clear the banking system.
Were you logged into the game when you bought the points? If so you can log off and back and and see if that "updates" the point system.
If you don't receive them after a day then my guess is there may have been a problem with the card, possibly the bank seeing 2 exact purchases (depending on how far apart they were) and thinking it was a duplicate charge or something. I'm not sure how that all works.
Anyway, if you don't receive them within a day I'd call or e-mail Customer Service.
"Thank you for your inquiry. We have reviewed your account and do not see any billing information on file or a purchase for Turbine Points. Please note that Turbine Points are only granted automatically if a purchase is made with a payment method that is on file.
If you have made the purchase outside of the game, you may be expecting a Turbine Points code. If you have received a 25-character code for your purchase, you can redeem the code within the Turbine Store"
I didn't receive a code anywhere. Neither did my friend whose credit card I used.
Have your friend check his cc account to see if he was indeed billed twice. If he only sees the first charge then that's your problem...the second never went through.
While you're in-game you can also check your TP information from the store page. Just click the My Account option on the main page and select purchase history. It should show you all the TP you've bought or earned recently. Verify if you're showing 1 or 2 credits of 600 TP. If you got 2 then you must have accidentally spent more than you thought.
That's all I can think of to do, other than calling customer support directly which you may wanna do too.
