Using Fervour without firing off skills
I'm assuming it's intentional that when you get stunned just as you press a skill that uses lots of Fervour that it's suppose to remove the Fervour needed for that skill and then not fire the skill off? The skill then remains available (not on cooldown) as if never used.
Kind of annoying.

Re: Using Fervour without firing off skills
Incredibly annoying. It happens with damn near every one of our skills. It even happens on Sudden Defense, True Heroics, Dire Need, and even occasionally man heal.

Re: Using Fervour without firing off skills
Ive experienced this with sudden defense and dire need. I dont ever remember loosing fervor when using and offensive skill and gettingstunned but could be wrong. I guessed it was something like skillful play by mobs by getting in a well placed stun during a half second induction and interrupting it. I know is put me in the rocks a few times when i let my aggro get a lil outta control. Would be nice to hear what some of the more experienced champs have to say about this. It maybe my short term memorylose but i dont remember it happening before moria.

Re: Using Fervour without firing off skills
as far as I can remember this has always happened... if you get stunned at exactly the wrong time you use the pips but don't execute the skill... it's most noticeable on "Sudden" Defence because the induction for this "immediate" skill is so damn long and the effect is only applied at the end of the induction/animation, and the fact that you often end up dead because of it, makes it more memorable
I think there are a lot more mobs that stun you now too...

Re: Using Fervour without firing off skills
If you mean before Moria expansion, then I don't know as I only started playing one week after Moria came out. Otherwise it has happened to my Champions (4 of them total at various levels) hundreds of times, maybe thousands. I can also add that it does happen to my Captain too, which is actually a lot more annoying, as missing a heal when a class is build around them or an AOE stun hurts them maybe even more. The stuns have become more common after RoI though on all mobs (especially so in the level 7-28 zones), just like suddenly missing very often on skills I never remembered missing even once in tens of levels on various classes.
I have died on my highest Champion a few times because I have been stunned when using Bracing Attack, thus missing the heal from it.
Annoying, and can get one killed if one is in a fight that's barely manageable. In a way it's only fair, as we also do have an interrupt, but then again, our's doesn't stun the mob (well, we have Horn of Gondor and Crafted Horn...).
My experiences of the excessive stunning may be because I have always played in Fervor, except the very few instance runs where I have ended up "main"tanking (School/Library/GS before RoI), thus not having any way of avoiding anything at all. Champions are the only class that can break stuns anyway (with Blood Rage on 1s CD), so it only slows you down for half a second (I have mine bound to an extra mouse button)... ;-)Bravery calls my name, in the sound of the wind in the night. My sword will drink blood, and I will fight, yes I will fight, in the Dawn of Battle!

Re: Using Fervour without firing off skills
You're a champ. Kill them quicker and you won't be stunned.

Re: Using Fervour without firing off skills
It's obviously too difficult to code in a way for skills to remove the Fervour during the skill execution. This is too old and dumb to still be mad about for my part, but they could still fix sudden defence.

Re: Using Fervour without firing off skills
If you get stunned you get stunned, of course its going to be a headache for you. Its meant to be

We generate so much fervour if played right, its never an issue.
Here is what to do if stunned and lost fervour.
Trait Battle frenzy.
Pop battle frenzy
Sound the attack OR Shing shing!
Stun them back and get over it!!!
