Looking for a place to level with my lvl 41 Warden (after I find those darn book drops).
Anyway - I don't really want to buy both places. I very much prefer being in Misty Mountains. The atmosphere and the snow, the fact that it actually gets sunlight makes for a less-depressing gaming experience.
I see that Angmar has more quests though, do you think it will be a waste to get Misty over Angmar? I prefer to solo and probably don't have the tank skills to group anyway as I've taken a year off.
Broken down, Angmar is the better choice. I suggest saving TPs for MoM though. That is accessible from lvl 45 on and you can easily quest there until you reach lvl 60-62
Angmar
Pro:
- Instances to get the area rep up with
- Instances to grab the needed trophies for the lvl 45 class-quests
- a lot of Deeds and Quests to get you through to lvl 50
Cons:
- A lot of group-content. On level, you won't be able to do most alone.
If you get to the lvl cap, you can easily run the instances alone and get the trophies for your alts (or sell them for good coin on the AH).
Misty Mountains:
Pro:
- Helegrod instances. They are still run on level cap but not a lot although they are fun to play
- Increase rep with Thorin's Hall to get the Goat-mount to travel in Moria. This may also be done playing the Ered Luin area of Sarnur to increase rep. That is free and already included.
- Good lore and deeds to solo your way up to lvl 50
- Goblintown
Cons:
- not many play there anymore so you might find it hard to find mates for a fellowships.
I bought MM when I came to the same juncture that you did and I have kinda regretted it. The questing is pretty spread out and sparse and I find myself just trying to get enough XP so I can head over to Forochel.
I like the atmosphere of MM more than Angmar as well, just wish there was a bit more content.

/signd
But I have to add that I would buy MM again, because of the atmosphere and because of the "points of interest" like the goblintown. Don't miss it ;-)
Angmar is better for "teamplay".
EDIT: After MM and before I am going to enter Moria, I will quest in Forochel first.
I bought MM on discout, so it was ok :-)
For the normal price more content would have been a good thing.

Angmar by far has more quests than Misty Mountains. Even though Angmar has a lot of fellowship quests I'd say there are still more solo quests in Angmar than there are in Misty Mountains. You can easily take Angmar from your current level 41 all the way to atleast level 50, whereas with Misty Mountains you would be hard pressed to get past level 45. Also, in regards to the group content, as a Warden you should be able to do many of the small fellowship quests atleast as a Warden even if they might be a bit difficult.
I always end up in Angmar just because there is so much more to do. I've soloed everything but the instances; some are hard and require waiting a level or two before tackling but the region is largely very soloable and there is enough content to pick and choose if you like.
The epic quest goes to Angmar so you'll want to go there eventually. Your class quest items are found in Angmar and half of the book quest pages also drop there.
Having said all that, I agree that MM is a happier place to level. Unfortunately, it has far less content.

Does that mean mines of Moria? I didn't realize I was so close to that level. Maybe I will skip both and just head for there. Leveling up to 45 won't be fun though
That does mean Mines of Moria. However, I would not recommend doing that. Going into Moria at level 45 would be very, very difficult. I don't recommend going into Moria until atleast level 50.
Angmar and then Moria. There are so few quests in the Misties, lots of those are fellowships, and it's a real pain to get around.
In Angmar there is a lot of solo content as well as group content, you'll get a decent armour set and pocket item, and you won't suddenly find the quest levels jumping from 39 to 44 the way they are wont to do in the Misties. You won't run out of quests, either.
