Thread: Beeyoutifulls Kin Vs Kin Contest

Greetings again people of Dwarrowdelf. I figured since I've thrown two individual photo contests I'd do something that would bring us all together not only as our kins or cliques but as a server!! And that's my main goal as I mention in every post that is more than a meme long.

I have no cyber-materialistic items what-so-ever to reward you other than In-Game gold. 500 to be exact. I've saved up for a long looooong time and I do believe it is a good even number that many people will be motivated to participate for.

There is a few small problems though...I have no idea on what your objectives should be...or if it should be like a 5objective event or if it should be another photo contest or a scavenger hunt or an arena of death...or even if i should include creeps in this..I obviously don't have the money on creep-side in case happens in which the creeps win.

Also with this being such a more open event i'd be looking to grab a very small panel of judges/moderators in a case that we choose an event that need more than one pair of eyes.

So this thread is to hear the opinion of the people!!! Speak now on what you would like to participate in. Please keep it short and don't spend hours on a book on what you think the rules should be because in the end it'd be my rule book not yours aaand i'll probably not read it and it would be a waste of your time to write it.

Suggestions suggestions!! Racing foot or horse?? Should there be a limit on how many people per kin can participate? Would you like to do a scavenger hunt and if so which areas are you willing to scavenge? Should it be restricted to kin or should you choose your own teams?


Note: Again, the 500g of my personal wallet will be the only prize for this and it is up to your kin/team leader to distribute because that is who it will be given to.

hmm well kin vs kin seems most kins pride themselves on their ability to do raids...

So how about a speed skirm contest

each kin can submit 6 people
6 people do a solo skirm, followed by 3-duo skirms, followed by 1-6 man
level based on highest kin member in the group (i.e. id you had 5 70's and 1 75 the 6 man would be done at 75)
next set of skirms can't be completed until everyone is done with the current round.
Skirms would be the same for everyone with level adjustment being the only difference.

oh that is interesting, but there is no way for me to monitor it on if they are doing what is required for those rounds...people might take advantage of that

there have been quite a few more kins popping up with all the new players coming in via steam. Thus I think it should be a more "fun for all" event. Be it swimming lake Evendim or a "Find Msbonks in North Downs using these clues."

The best idea I can come up with is you hide yourself in a region and make a clever riddle to lead players to your location, so like a scavenger hunt.

Maybe some kind of relay race would be a nice idea.One from each kin in every "big" town and then race around some regions.

I like that.Some people would be needed for watching checkpoints.But i wouldn't ride though the gate of Isengard.Winner might be dead before getting his goods^^

I agree with the race and the hide and seek/scavanger hunt.

Perhaps even a scavanger hunt for multiple people, the mods perhaps. one in various regions.

Swim across the beautiful lake evindem as you search for 3 checkpoinmts along its banks, and isles, be the first to report to the man /or woman in charge with the location of all 3 checkpoints and you my friend have won a point for your team,

Once the racer reaches the last checkpoint a second racer will take off on a lovely trip to Michael delving on horseback, where the next part of the relay begins,

the last part is the infamous footrace. from Md to bree, where a the last of each team gather, waiting for another event at another time.

THIS NEXT CONTEST IS GOING TO BE HIDE AND SEEK/TREASURE HUNT!!!! Just to keep your interest peeked Your objectives will be to find the missing hobbits!!!! that will be all and i'll keep your minds wandering!!

Im still working out the specifics so no date yet, and yes hobbits as in i'll be multiboxing with hobbits...i'm going to try and set it up like the amazing race kind of thing but better, how better? cuz it's lotro, everything is better with lotro 0_e.
