Thread: Ride to Rivendell

Greetings Kinsmen and Kinswomen,

Pax Thalion has been tasked with escorting a caravan of crafters and artisans from Bree to Rivendell. The ride will be long, so please get the rest needed for the long road. We will be traveling through the Lonelands and Trollshaws, so please come prepared for encounters with orcs and more. I will have extra tasks for some of you, while we're on the road. A group of scholars in Bree need details about structures and monuments verified for their texts and drawings. Some of you will need to ride away from the column to get the information we need.

OOC: Hello everybody! At launch we had two very successful Run to Rivendell events and this is a variation on that concept. Here's a few more details for you.

Wouldn't that ride take a long time?

OOC, it won't take more than an hour or so if we have people running. IC, there would obviously be a suspension of disbelief. We could say the trip would take the appropriate amount of days, though.

What if I don't have a mount?

That's okay! You could always run along the road and we could say you're with the caravan. We'll have riders circle around too, to keep those running protected. We'll make sure nobody gets too far ahead.

What is this about extra tasks for the scholars?

Screenshots! I will be giving locations, monuments, etc and those given the task will have to ride there and get a screenshot of them at the place. Screenshots will be posted here.

What about getting home?

I can provide any coin needed to use the stablemaster to ride back!

Is Rivendell awesome?

Yes. Yes it is. The Fellowship of the Ring is there.
