Having made the break from the religion of 'Wardenism' I have come back to my Mini, got him levelled raid ready and over the weekend got into ToO Raid (Saruman tonight ).
The Question is (maybe I cannot see the wood for the trees!!! ) , unlike the Warden Sets where it was obvious which set was for which role, which set should I buy?
Playstyle - Main Healer atm traited 5B/2Y, Basically still learning - i have read 4B/3Y or 3B/4Y are the 'standard' configs i need to try these to find what fits me best ,so would i need different sets for these builds or is there 1 preferred set for just healing (I doubt I will heading off to the Moors)
Many thanks in advance

Personally I prefer the Thelin set with its set bonuses geared towards healing. I'm usually skilled 4 yellow / 3 blue so I can keep up four anthems easily (with the appropriate yellow traits and maxed anthem duration legacy) and don't need the 5-piece set bonus of either the Draigoch/Dirge Singer or the Glirberion sets (both of them add 5 seconds of anthem duration if you wear five pieces of the set).
I do know a few minstrels that like to skill 4 blue / 3 yellow and like to use the Glirberion set to make it easier for them to keep up two anthems continuously (kind of ironic if you consider that the Thelin set bonuses seem to fit with the blue traits and the Glirberion set bonuses go with the yellow traits). The Hadollin set with high Finesse and damage-oriented set bonus is more suitable for the warspeech minstrel I think, and I can't remember seeing a serious raid healer wearing that.
That said, I actually prefer a mix of three pieces of Thelin and three pieces of Dirge Singer (Draigoch) instead of five pieces of any one set, since the mix of stats suits my build best.
I actually have gone a different direction with what armor I heal in than what I see most post here. Once it was easy to cap outgoing healing + mitigations + good sized morale and good enough icpr, I really started working on trying to get my Crit chance as high as I could for crit heals. I kind of fell in love with the 5blue/2yellow for the crit chance, and with 20% crit from armor, in raids I was able to crit heal close to 40% of my bolsters (according to combat analysis).
In the end though, the 5B/2Y is very selfish and really only helps me do my job easier and not the rest of the raid, so I did go back to using 4Y/3B instead, but really missed my crits. So still with capped outgoing healing/mitigations and all, I started looking at how to use the set bonuses from the gear available. I really don't like the 3 set bonuses from any of the gear available except the draigoch set, and I really can get by without the -10% power cost thanks to anthem of composure. I don't really need the Gilberion or Dirge-singer 5 piece bonus either when running 4Y, so I started trying something different.
I simply don't need more tactical mastery, no need for the 4 piece bonuses in any of these sets either, but the 2 piece bonuses give will and Critical rating instead. So now, I actually heal raids in 2 pieces of Thelin, 2 pieces of Hadolin and 2 pieces of Dissonance sets (Moors set that 2 piece bonus gives +704 crit). I've been very happy with it, as now even running 4Y/3B, with cappy buffs, I still can crit over 30-35% of my heals during a raid and feel I can almost keep up with the same amount of healing as before, but while helping the rest of the group do more damage or take less damage.
(so it isn't confusing, the issue for focusing on crit for me, is when I drop the blue traits, I feel I have to drop the ones involving crit heals. I pretty much feel the 3 I need to stick with are Focused performance, Subtle Movements and graceful demeanor as much as I would rather use Silver tongue and life-singer instead, I really love those two blues)
Dragon set + Thalen helm (for the morale). On my warden I am upgrading from Dragon to ToO and it is an upgrade, no real reason to do it on the min since you can easily cap Tac Matery without it.
I use 4 pieces of the Thelin and 2 pieces of the Hadollin sets and prefer this setup over going for the 5 of Thelin or even the Draigoch set (which really doesn't do enough for us stat-wise to be truly effective for healing in my experience and opinion).

And this is why I have asked the question the ToO Tanking set for Warden is a nice upgrade to the Draig set but I am not seeing anything majorly outstanding with the Minstrel Sets.
Thx for the replies soo far

I went 4 deep on the Thelin set (I almost never use Inspire Fellows, so the 5-deep bonus isn't relevant for me) , and I left the other two at Draigoch (because I didn't want to spend the seals for the other two red-line Orthanc pieces - I needed them to Orthanc out my Loremistress). The way I look at it, even if I'm traited War-Speech, I can still use the enhanced SoS on myself.
I'm probably in the smallest minority here, but I wear four pieces of the Draigoch set, and then the boots and gloves from the old level 75 Minstrel PvMP set (NOT the Audacity set). This grants me a respectable amount of set bonuses as well as helping me cap both my Physical and Tactical mitigations when scrolls are up. I like the -10% power cost on the Draigoch set, and the mix of stats allows me to tailor my jewellry quite well, netting about 1.8k Will and 1.2k Vitality (8k power and 9k morale with full raid buffs from a Captain) and about 46% outgoing healing.
I have enough of the Seals and Medallions to buy two of the Tower of Orthanc sets, but I'm really not sure which to buy yet. Unlike other sets from other places (I still carry around 3 pieces of my Ost Dunhoth set for the group wide Call to Greatness, and the Audacity PvMP set that cures status effects with Soliloquy of Spirit is another keeper), none of the Orthanc sets really seem to me to include Must-Have bonuses.

I highly valuate anthems and crits. Therefore I wear the Dirge-singer set, with the shoulders of Hadollin so my morale doesn't get too low. I didn't find enough benefits to spend seals on a ToO set. I trait 4y3b or 5y2b depending on the situation. The two blues are always Life Singer and Silver Tongue, and if I go 3 blue I use Focused Performance.
The 5-set armour bonuses for Tower of Orthanc armour don't initially look amazing, especially when the Thelin was... working in a strange way for awhile.
It took 2 months and looking at a spreadsheet to decide the Thelin set was the way-to-go PvE healing-wise: for the stats it possesses, and reducing incoming damage by 3%. I should min/max that 6th piece sometime
I am looking at acquiring 3 pieces of Moor armour to swap in for the +15% Fellowships Heart bonus, and swap out again.
When I'm bored, i put on 1 of the +5 anthem duration sets (Draigoch/Glirberion) and go psycho!

Mixing and matching for crit is cool. Doing this for PvP I get; for PvE... You do lose 5 secs on anthem duration, or -3% incoming damage for a smidge of crit you can acquire from jewellery (at a cost to your morale mainly). Sitting pretty at 21-22% crit in 5y/2b makes me a happy raiding minstrel xD With PUGs, 4b/3y sees me get the most out of the Thelin set.
Personally I've found the breaking up set bonuses for stat bonuses is good for a Warden, but sucks for a Minstrel (you end up 'missing a trick', like keeping 5 anthems up, or reducing damage to make your life easier ...
