Traveling from stables - now only for subscribers or what?

Anyone else having trouble with traveling from the stables? I used to be able to purchase a ride from fx. Bree to Hobbiton, but now all travel locations are shown as something, you can only travel to if you are a subscriber?
I haven't experienced this before and have been able to travel to many places even though I am not a subscriber.
It's not swift travel - just regular traveling from A to B.
I know that some locations are only available for subscribers to (swift) travel to, but this is not as it used to be a couple of days ago.
I have purchased several rides from the stable in Bree to Hobitton, Hengstacer Farms, Celodim and more before.
Is this something new? It sucks.

Are you playing on a new alt character? If so there may be certain level requirements you must meet first. You also have to travel on foot to many stable routes to open them up to your stable system.

If that's not the issue then there may certainly be something bugged with the stable system (nothing new there eh?). I noticed something similar the other night when I took a new character to Combe from Archet to use the stable ride and it showed all the starter locations EXCEPT Michel Delving as if it had been removed from the options for some reason. I haven't really noticed any other examples yet but then again I haven't been playing much lately.

As for Bree to Hobbiton, in your example, just a reminder that there never has been a Bree to Hobbiton option. You must go from Bree (West Bree specifically) to Michel Delving first, then take a regular stable ride from MD to Hobbiton.

requirements for routes other than swift travel are:
you need to discover both ends of all routes except the starter country swift travel routes

you need the required cash to ride. no cash=no ride, you may see the TP icon offering you the routes for turbine points insted this catches some people out.. if the TP icon is appearing on all stable routes you most likley do not have enough cash to ride

some travel routes also have level restrictions, faction level requirements or completion of a particular quest

these requiremetns must be met on all toons ie toon A may meed the requirements but if you logon a new toon none of the requirements will be met

This really sounds like you don't have enough money to pay for the ride.

Re: Traveling from stables - now only for subscribers or what?

    Thank you for your answers

I was logged in with my Lvl 11 Elf Champion when the stable-thing happened. I have enough money and I have discovered a lot of routes and I have traveled to many of them before yesterday with this character. So I just don't get it..
I am aware that you have to discover the routes to travel there and I have.

I tried logging in with my main Lvl 18 Elf Hunter and then everything worked like a charm. I was able to travel like I used to, even from the Bree stable, where I couldn't with my Lvl 11 Champion.
So I really can't figure what the problem is. It seems like it only happens with my lvl 11.
As I said before - I have traveled these routes many times with the lvl 11.

KualaBangoDango: You're right - I don't know why I wrote "from Bree to Hobbiton". Of course you have to go to Michel Delving first. Brain-fart, I guess.

Well.. I'll try again today and see what happens. :-)

Actually you don't, I hired a ride from Bree West Gate to Hobbiton yesterday afternoon, would have been quicker to fast travel to Michel Delving and then ride to Hobbiton, but I was going to Scary, so I dismounted as I was passing Budgeford and trotted up the road.

Perhaps you're trying it from the South Gate? If so it won't work if you don't have swift travel, even to MD. Only the West gate in Bree is open to free swift travel (still costs silver though).

Do the destinations not show up, or do they show up grayed out, or do they show up with the TP icon instead of the in-game cost? What is it that you see in the stable-master's dialog window?

    It works!

Yesterday, when I played, I no longer had the problem.
It showed up with the TP-icon, but now I am able to travel like normal again.

Finally - no more long walks from Bree to The Shire - pheew
