Thread: I believe I messed something up with Moria as I cannot get anywhere with legendary it

I am appealing to someone to PLEASE help me. Something is not right as I cannot enter the portal to go to the quest area for Moria - finished the quest where you see the fire demon and have to flee and ever since then cannot get back in nor is the guy at the portal available to speak to anymore. Also, I cannot get the forge master to identify weapons - somehow one got identified but all my others for my class (hunter) will not idenitify - when I click on the forge master it says using that has no effect - same with relic master - for chapter 10 where I need to put a relic on one of my weapons. I really need help as I am stuck and very frustrated! Also the two legendary items with perimbant that the forum says are supposed to be travel quests (on is a flight of drakes) are not working - when I go to him there is no option to travel.... HELP please!

for relics you press shift I to add them, that should fix it.

Until you can enter Moria, you can only use the forge-master as instructed by the legendary item introductory quests. And then you can only use the forge-master in Rivendell or Thorin's Gate as and when instructed. Look in your quest log for a quest in Epic Volume II, Book 1 folder. You must complete all chapters of Book 1 before you get into Moria, and can use any forge-master.

You can also check your completed quest log (open quest log and check "Show Completed Quests") to see how far you have got in Vol II, Book 1. You may have to go find a quest giver to pick up a quest you missed or cancelled.

Thanks to both - Lorecat - I am stuck on Chapter 10 slotting a relic - I do not even think I have one - went an purchased Tier 3 relics and went to relic master to unlock but get the same thing when I click "using that has no effect" - where can I get one of these relics to slot and how do I do it? Thanks!

You should have gotten relics as quest rewards in the previous chapter. You slot them through the LI control panel.

How do you get to the LI control panel?

Shift+I or Select the Legerndary Items menu item on the main in-game menu (the one with System, Inventory, Crafting, Character, etc.)

You cannot talk to the relic-master to deconstruct sealed relics, such as you find or buy, until you complete all chapters in Vol II, Book 1. Thus, the only relics you can slot during Vol II, Book 1 are those you received during the Vol II, Book 1 quests.

You are very restricted in what you can do until you complete this Book. Just play along, and you will be able to do anything you want when you can get into Moria.

Seriously, people. If you do not know what you are doing and you see a black box pop up to show you hints, READ THEM! Do not turn them off if it is your first character in this game and no not dismiss them without reading them. All the info you are asking in this thread is explained in them.

Sorry about your frustration, I ran my first character through Moria recently and had the same thing happen. (could not get back in, could not deconstruct or slot anything) I am not sure how I solved it, but the answers above sound logical. Finish that book mentioned above, I am sure that will fix your problem.
As for the hint box, that is a good tip, my first character is at lvl 58 and I turned the hints of long ago when I leveled a bunch of toons up to around 20. So I had that level figured out and was bored reading the same hints over and over. Never thought that the hints later would help me. The tenor of the note could have been a little softer. A lot of us newbies are struggling out here. BUT I AM going to turn my hints back on.
