1. Soloing is VERY viable in this game.
2. Creeps have a history of not being competative (both over the years, and as their power curve via ranking)
3> Moors is the best solo environment I've played in.
Solo is certainly very viable as a warg, but I have no idea how it is for other creep classes. In the last two days alone I have gained over 17k infamy soloing (this may be less viable for lower ranked players; I am a R7 warg).
I can see other classes soloing while hanging near raids, but maybe not so much roaming the map at low ranks (I know they do it, as most creeps I see are below rank 5-6, but I really can't say how successful they are).

There are solo wargs out there, you just have to find them.
I do solo often, the only thing is you won't find me at the "usual" places - ie the regular freep zerg/group traveling routes from GV-EC-TR-STAB. Quite often, when I enter those "usual" areas, I get spammed tracked and ganked by numerous freeps. Thus, I take different routes and scout different areas for my solo playtime.
I don't solo exclusively, I'll run in small groups and with raids. My playstyle, more or less, is dictated by what is currently going on in the moors at that particular time.
I can't answer for all people that play wargs, but I can try to give some reasons - based upon MY experiences when I solo.
1. Too many times what I think may be a good chance at a good 1v1 turns into something else. Either a stealthed burg/ hunter/warden is camped next to freep "bait" -or- said solo freep calls in others to gank. I tend to either fight and die or escape. Others may group up to become the ganker instead of the gankee. Happens all of the time.
2. Perception. What some may think is a large warg pack, may actually be a small group and a bunch solos. It's not hard to have concentrations of wargs at or near the same spot. Freeps, wether they know it or not, use the same travel routes consistantly when they move around. Where there are freeps, there are wargs and creeps. If the freeps are concentrated together, is it really a surprise the number of wargs that tend to show up? Hence, it looks like a large pack has formed. From that perception, the freeps will then gather strength to offset what they think is a large wargpack and steamroll any small warg group or solo warg (thanks store bought trackers) that they find.
3. Yes, there are players that feel the need to be grouped because they are not as skilled as others. Is it their fault? I don't think so. Look at the large number of low ranked wargs/creeps - to earn comms for skills/traits/corruptions/audacity - it's easier to be grouped. Without those items, they have a tremendous disadvantage. Even though some can be store bought, how many actually do buy everything in the store? That is a good question in itself.
4. Yes, there are players that are not self-titled "elite" players - not everyone can be the best. Don't be hating on them, without them, who do you have left to fight? I think it would be quite boring if everyone had the same skill level - nobody would win or lose.
Those are just a few of what I think are some reasons. Silly thing is, the same question and the same answers above can be applied to the other side as well.
Pouncy, I hate to be so blunt, but I really do not care all that much about YOUR reasons for not soloing. I gave my two-cents just as you did, take it or leave it, I really could not care one way or the other.

*chuckles* Fair enough Cynth.
The real issue I see is that for some, and not all folks there seems to be an over riding need to choose the path all should take in the moors.
"I solo, ergo, you must all solo."
"Or large raids is the only way to go."
The fact of the matter is that we all are free to chose how we play in the moors, and no one should feel the need to denigrate the play style of another. We have many on this server who enjoy strictly solo play, some that large raids, some small groups. It is the choice of the player as to which they may elect to be involved in each time they log into PvMP.
Yet still we have some who though insisting that their play style be respected, continue to carp on and belittle those who chose another path. They do not solo because they are not as good at me. They use the keyboard to turn instead of their mouse so they must suck at gaming.
Post after post has been made over the years mostly by the same individuals, though sometimes with a slight push in the direction by those who may have a hidden agenda. The threads grow longer and longer but always come to the same conclusion.
You do not play like I want you to play, so you are the suxors.
Here is an interesting idea that has worked well through the centuries for those who have tried it. You mind your business and leave me to mind mine. Play your game, and do not attempt to control or push in the same stale line the play of the many to match the play of the one, or the few.
There is nothing wrong with solo play, I do it sometimes myself.
There is nothing wrong with small group play. Many of us enjoy it.
And there is nothing wrong with raiding up and having at each other. It is an exciting and heart-pounding experience.

As someone who solos and groups, at least shilow does not pitch a fit when killed by multiple players when soloing. It's a pvp zone, if you go out there is the chance of dying, oh noes. Like certain wardens and champions who cry about being run over then do the very same thing to other players. Hypocrites are hypocritical.

I play the game for the social aspect, and to have fun with others. Solo fighting does not fit into that style for me. That being said, I do run solo around the map from time to time, and have engaged in a solo fight only to be mobbed by the solo freeps 3-8 friends.

lol plok when have I ran you over solo, derp. I admit that I zerg sometimes, when I get bored or if someone I know is leading/kin groups. But Plokkers, I complain because I find it funny, I don't really care about deaths, 4300 and counting.... so I get rolled over, I get mad after about 15 times by the same group in like a day/hour, sure, who wouldn't get frustrated.
First and foremost, I play this game for fun and for hanging with some peeps I consider friends (well, all except that Hazbak character...jus' kiddin!). I'm not out to be the l33t-est wargie on the block, and I ain't got nothing to prove to no one. I know I'm not the best, but I try to to learn and improve as I go along.
Having said that, I freely admit that I mix soloing, small grouping and actual warg packing. Depends pretty much on 1) the mood I'm in at the time and more importantly 2)freep numbers & concentration at the time. Since it seems a number of warg packs get attributed to me these days (even if I'm logged on my burg or hunter), I can see where it's hard to believe I run solo. Well, I do.
If I Disappear during a 1v1, you can likely be sure I haven't gone very far - but sometimes I'm feeling a little too spiteful to just roll over and die without trying to get away.
And if you do encounter me solo and take me down, it's 95% likely I won't call you out for it in /ooc.

Sorry i tend to not bother with names after 28 people have rolled over me.

The chances that the majority those wardens will stay is slim to none (most of ANY class excluding hunter quits before rank 6 or 7)
The fact that there are only two hunters in the top 12 renown holders in congruence with two minis, three champs and two guards seems to suggest otherwise.

Wargs? What is that? If you are talking about those little different colored doggies that run around the map then yeah I've seen a few of them solo and some not. There are sometimes I just roam around get hit because the doggie just appeared out of no where and I start to fight thinking hmm I got this then all the sudden its like some kind of kibbles and bits is falling out my pockets and POOOF theres like 4 or 5 of these things munchin on ma ####. Oh well I take it and come back for some more.
There are some that I see solo but im just out there for fun. Doesnt really bother me that much if there is 5 or 6 i just jump up and down and well we all know the outcome of that. So keep on coming at me and ima try to fight you little doggies like hell, but will you not jump me if I offer cookies?

I can witness to that. I've fought you solo a few times. Lost some, won some, and they've all been great fights. And close too. Always nice to see another player not too concerned about all the fuss that goes on, and rather just fights the good fight with little complaint.
Keep up the great work and I'll keep trying to find the cookies hidden on you
I solo, duo, warg pack, mixed group, raid, quest group, gank etc etc depending on the mood and availability of good companions.
But a simple answer is: there is a 99% chance that 99% of the wargs could be at the same spot 99% of the time and that two without being in a big warg pack. So many of us solo, duo, trio and so on, so if you add all those solos/small groups of wargs, they may seem very big wp to you but we on creep side are not aware of a 24/7 active warg pack.
TR rez to east ford is such a good spot to find freeps when TR is blue after all. That is called rez-camping? so what? dont come out of the rez, I dont care.
On Cynthri's "9 Wardens, ouch" comment,
wardens started playing only after update 6, before I remember only one warden, that was Arrival!
so give some time to the noobs to rank up.
I wish there was actually no way of communicating to each other how to play. Everyone should be free to play the way they want. (in the Middle earth, no freep would ever write letters to a warg or an orc, would they?)

1. There is not a 99% chance of that, that math makes no sense.
2. So, what happened to myself, Orillias (quit a long time ago, though), Leonidaas, Lomelonde, Deathdealar, Aspidas, so on and so forth, we started playing with u6? Actually, from what I recall, you were the one who hasn't been here all along. Arrival was far from being the only one out there, he was just more well known for being rank 10.

Transfer Champ doesn't count...
But besides that there are 3 champs in the top 20...AND the SAME 3 in the top 40.
Only 9 in the top 100 freepside active players.
How many hunters in the top 100?
30.
----
In my opinion what 2 champs and 2 guards shows is the INDIVIDUAL tenacity of those specific players. Not a trend. In fact, I'd suggest that on a server that was once ripe with a very strong champ base the fact that we're down to so few at the top...(one of those in the top 3 is relatively VERY new actually) is a sign of what has happened in recent years.
