I do solo. But being rolled numerous times by grouped freeps (has been happening more and more recently.) Grouping up in a duo or trio seems like a better idea -Haz
I play the game for the social aspect, and to have fun with others. Solo fighting does not fit into that style for me. That being said, I do run solo around the map from time to time, and have engaged in a solo fight only to be mobbed by the solo freeps 3-8 friends.

And?
Anyway - to answer the question - I do solo.
I win some, I lose some, it's all the same to me. The pleasure is to play, it makes no difference what you say.
The number of times I have tried to solo Silencing, or indeed any other freep, should be enough evidence in and of itself.

Really?
As if freeps (of all classes) don't do the same exact thing 95% of the time. For the record, I don't think I've ever seen you do this purposely, Treelios, but shame on you if you have.
(As a warg, I am 99.99% of the time solo)

So, creeps, wargs specifically, can NOT run other wargs. If they do, they are bads. Gotcha.
I specifically remember you asking me not to participate in fights where you already had 2+ creeps on you.
I remember you jumping me like this a multitude of times.
I remember you killing me after I won a close fight with a warden. Boom, one arrow. Dead doggy.

I'd like you to look at her toolbar. The majority of it is comprised of emotes, and not ***/OOC ATTENTION: I'm a good player and anyone who doesn't play like I want is bad*** or other things of that nature. Despite what you may think, Shilow, not everyone is out here to prove something to themselves or other people. Cliche as it may sound, this is a GAME, the point of it is to have FUN. It is a venue where most people can escape real world pressure and obligations to have fun and relax, not prove that they have quicker fingers than someone else. Those are false senses of accomplishments.
Now I'm almost certain possible this has all been said before, so this is just an emphasis. Also, Treelios...sounds like it might be time for a vacation, dude.
WHY!?!? Why all the hate on keyboard turners.... some of us have tried to do it the other way and ended up throwing our keyboard across the room from frustration Some of us kt's work our butts off in other ways to make up for it!!!
Also, I really dont hold it against someone for being "bad' at a video game. I was really bad at The Pirates of Dark Water on the Sega when I was a kid, luckily no one was there to degrade my existence for it.
Also tree, that was more like 2 gold's worth of opinions.

Sounds like a good answer to me, because of the fact that all you wargs complain when freeps do the same exact thing with easy-mode group make-ups and still have 3:1 odds and call them bad, so whats the difference if you guys make a group just to jump people with 5:1 odds? I'm not saying there is nothing wrong with joining a warg pack, but when it becomes all you do and you still complain about how freeps easy mode with numbers. The fact is there is no difference and when all bad freeps do is zerg you know they're bad, as we know you're bad because you are doing the same exact thing.
The wargs don't solo because they do not believe that they can. They have this outlook that "oh we're underpowered so we're not even gonna attempt it." A sad perspective, wouldn't you agree? So Tree is correct, they are bads, in some cases because they truly are bad, but in most, it is because they do not try because they'd rather have a pity party.

I'd reply to treeelios, but I like you a bit better .
Wargs do solo, but there are so many out there it is hard not to be near one another i'm sure. Wargs were always the class you actually stood a decent chance with due to their stealth and hit and run. All the other classes are pretty much, and have pretty much for the games entirety, been cannon fodder until so high ranked most people never even bothered to take the 5 years to get there.
I'd be willing to bet that even now that you can buy skills the sides are so lopsided freepside due to a few of the most OP classes the game has seen, people just want to be able to survive and have a decent chance of not being facerolled by even average freeps (excluding one or two freep classes), so they play wargs. SO many wargs and so few areas people actually go is it any wonder they are near each other? The vast majority of freeps run from Gv to EC, landbridge, stab, and BB. You all use the most traveled routes, faceroll your opponents the vast majority of the time, and wonder why you see a bunch of wargs in the few areas you go.......O.o
Look, the elite players win because they are highly skilled. Take those 4-5 players out and the average creep, who really won't get much better than they already are, is going to lose the vast majority of the time. There is a reason why sporting teams only have one-two awesome players and no one really knows the other players on the team. Why does anyone expect a game to be any different in this matter?

Evidently you did not read my post telling why I do not solo. I refer you to it again. This is not a solo slanted game, and I like the company of others when I play. If you really wish to promote an anti social sort of game play, might i suggest a first person shooter?

I dont know why wargs dont solo being in a warg pack is worse than being in a open raid. I prefer playing my warg solo. One thing I know for sure which is fact too about atleast 80% of wargs dont know how to use their skills =P
I solo on my warg all the time, I also dont engage freeps unless it's to finish off another creeps work OR I seen Jaiyne then the blood fever takes over and I just pounce her for giggles.
I know I suck at my warg so I utilize it the best way I can, as a scout and infamy scavenger. All you freeps should be worried when you have under 1k health, your skills on cd, cos that is when I'm going to jump you.

I like how this entire conversation directs to "all wargs". or "No wargs".
I'm pretty sure I solo. As a matter of fact, I'm probably the most anti social person in the Pwny. When they have a group going, or a warg pack, I decline 99% of the time. Even my tribe is pointless to me due to never even grouping with them. I just use them for conversation.
Does this mean I wont engage a freep when I see one? No. Im pretty much trigger happy. Whether I see a freep alone, or whether I see 2 other wargs on it, Ill probably attack it. And then there is times Ill attack something when I think Im alone, only for 3 wargs to pop out of the woodwork to chew on the same target. Out of nowhere.
Point is... I do solo. 95% of my gameplay. I'm not the best warg out here by any means. And some would argue the fact if Im even any good at all. But that's not what was brought up. Good or bad, I'm a solo warg.. And there are some that exist.

its a serious question and i want serious answers plz
Sorry man, but this is a stupid question. The answer is clear, because people do things that are fun...and apparantly, grouping up is fun. Or, you're leet, they all suck, and you want to make sure they know that...
I often wonder why anyone DOES solo in this game. Its the worst "solo" environment I've ever played in. Other games seem so much more fluid, solo'ing in this game feels like driving a car on square tires.

If that's what makes them happy...more power to them. The best thing about the Moors is that you don't have to be limited by playing one way. Anyone that only plays one way is limiting themselves. Have fun, mix up your day, solo a bit, duo a bit, group a bit, raid a bit. Immerse yourself in the variety... If you're in it for the challenge, I'd suggest finding one in RL. The only challenges in the Moors are the narcissistic people you have to deal with in the forums. In the end, it's a game of clashes between personalities and beliefs...with the ultimate of which is lol log overs to complain to the other side (not talking about you.)
Evidently you did not read my post telling why I do not solo. I refer you to it again. This is not a solo slanted game, and I like the company of others when I play. If you really wish to promote an anti social sort of game play, might i suggest a first person shooter?
I've been grouped with people, or in vent with people, 99% of the time I've been in the moors over the past 5 years.
I would suggest MUCH of this game IS in fact solo slanted, and that grouping for social reasons really doesn't change that. Most quest lines (PvE side) are annoying to do with a group. They take longer and some people move faster or slower than the group. Not to mention there's bag space issues, repair issues etc that are far easier to manage and maintain when solo.
In my opinion this gets to be even MORE true on the PvMp side. It's a LOT of additional work staying together, staying focused on targets and not chasing, or even fending for oneself in a group (note: this is why I despise poorly run raids in the moors).
And even moreso creepside where there is a very large incentive for questing, again a task best done solo for most classes in terms of cost/benefit analysis.
I think the reality is a> most players Creep OR Freep don't feel confident enough to solo, b> have a higher risk aversion than soloing requires, and c> have a lower threshold for boredom that soloing often entails.
As for creep specific reasons...I think the last 5 years...although more or less continually moving creeps towards a more balanced power level, have given a pretty substantial deincentivization to creeps to be competative. In fact even today the fact that the question about wargs soloing even coming up is a HUGE deal...it indicates that for the first time in 5 years the player base overall is starting to see ranked creeps as similar in power.
The very question asked in the thread title 4 years ago would've been laughed at...funny thing though...4 years ago MORE wargs (as a percentage of total wargs) did in fact solo.
Additionally, there's been a recent surge of freep soloing. No doubt about that whatsoever. This has been heightened by fightclubbing...which again I insist is not soloing...but whatever.
With more soloers out there it can make any population imbalances seem even larger.
Time will tell. I imagine given the history of weaker creeps, AND the way that EVERY creep is weaker to start...that the creepside power levels will have to actually be GREATER than freepside before we see a big surge of creepside soloing...but even with the more gentle increase we've seen over the past few years there will be more and more creepside solo/small grouping as time progresses.
I'm interested about this however, and how it'll affect EVERY form of PvMP.
Will there be any changes to PvMP, and if so, what kinds?
PvMP is getting a pretty substantial content update; we're reworking the Ettenmoors capture mechanics to focus your rewards around killing other players – not killing NPCs.

I often wonder why anyone DOES solo in this game. Its the worst "solo" environment I've ever played in. Other games seem so much more fluid, solo'ing in this game feels like driving a car on square tires.
What do you mean by fluid?
If anything I think soloing in LotRO is the BEST due to the way combat works (worked). Combat in LotRO isn't tap tap tap tap tap tap spam spam spam spam it's more of a dance, more about the timing, and the sequencing of skills than all the WoW clones out there. I really enjoy solo combat.
In a group/raid it gets to be more about burst tap tap tap again, due to focus fire/focus healing. But in solo/small group fights each key stroke MATTERS. Not so in my experience in all the other AAA titles I've played, and definitely not so in any FPS type games.
Furthermore I enjoy soloing in an open setting. Sure this can feel ganky and even griefy at times, but when it's NOT it creates/allows for a lot of really interesting fighting. There are times/have been times where I've been outnumbered and been able to hold my own (sometimes due to game imbalance, sometimes due to open world mobs/positioning), there have been times where I've been on even numbers but knee deep in mobs, there are opportunities for surprise, and opportunities for disengaging and reengaging...IF you know how/where to do those things. There's terrain options that aren't really found in most Arena style games. And there's the resource management of cooldowns when "out in the field".
Personally I've not found a better soloing game out there. For what it is...PvP in an MMO, and purposefully dynamic in terms of risk/challenge/encounters.

2. Moors is the best solo environment that he's ever played in.
1. Soloing is VERY viable in this game.
2. Creeps have a history of not being competative (both over the years, and as their power curve via ranking)
3> Moors is the best solo environment I've played in.
